Yeah I'm not sure the opposition has to answer any questions about stuff like this until they're potentially campaigning in an election.

I know. I just hate seeing him lumped in with them. At least MPs have some semblance of responsibility and public interest. This is just a fucking gobby cunt, who is a farm and BBC 2 show away from being Clarkson, whose bank have said he's too much of a risk to take on. Everyone should stop giving him the time of day. +1 A hard +1 at that.

More the Opposition are in Government really letters. I hope the reply is:
Dear John,
It depends how much more you fuck up the economy. Even then, your fat cat mates have had it easy for the last 13 years, so it's probably time they actually paid their fair share. In the meantime, try and leave us some remnants of the NHS and BBC so that we can at least attempt to rescue them after 13 years of your ideological destruction of them.
Love & kisses
Rachel

I feel like there are rules about using Parliamentary headed note paper signed by ministers for party political stunts. I don't think sending dead cat letters and posting on Twitter isn't correspondence.
Also again for clarity. NatWest own Coutts, Coutts offered the purple cunt a regular normal person NatWest account. At no point has he been denied basic banking services. Just the fancy tax shaping bullshit that Coutts do, which is understandable considering all the dodgy Russian sources of money he's likely had. It's not a fucking human right to access that shit.

But Nigel needs a Natwest with a reception containing a koi pond, grand piano, and a barista.

Nothing says man of the people like being pissed off you have to use the same banks as the majority of people.
I'm imagining Farage shouting at his former Coutts account manager "I am a man of the people, NOT WITH THE PEOPLE! OF, NOT, WITH!"

No worry Bill, I’m sure the UK Government will issue statements showing their displeasure and Rodger Barclay will be walking the plank in 24 hours.

Just listened to this on the podcast. Worth listening to the full piece, as Frances Coppola from the FT is interviewed and she explains the reason behind him losing the account really well. The TLDR version being they weren't making any money from him, because he didn't have enough in the account. His status as a controversial figure played a part in the decision (because he was a publical figure, it was someone's job to keep an eye on what he was doing and saying, so there is an actual real cost to them giving him an account), but the trigger was him dropping below the required threshold of funds in the account.

Has HE dropped the Ford from his name and gone transgenderist too? HE should stick to film making and leave this sort of thing to the right sort of chaps.

Barclays just told me they're closing my account. Not even joking. Ahhh, they eventually caught up with you. NatWest closed mine last year. 20 years with them, and they were incompetent and rude as fuck when I went into a branch to sort it out.

Hopefully, the BBC will publish an article when you call for the resignation of their entire leadership.

If it was NatWest I wouldn't shed a tear, especially as they directed me to Twitter to get more information. I mean WTF?!

Because a private enity can only do what they what they want when it affects "the other side".

Why are they all resigning? Because they seem determined to prove that it literally is one rule for the them and other one entirely for us proles.

Police officers quitting in record numbers. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/police-resignations-staffing-crisis-boris-uplift-b2382361.htmlDon't expect to hear much about this. The government will claim it's hit Johnson's target and simply ignore any contradicting facts. In fact they'll probably let it happen as it will hurt the incoming Labour government. An (unverified) stat from management a couple of days ago: To maintain its numbers the Met needs about 1300 applicants a month. (This is to account for failed applications, dropouts during recruitment etc.) It's getting 600. I expect this is happening across the whole public sector. Starmer really needs to get a grip and get ahead of issues like this. It will be no good complaining once he's PM.
