Might be some fun stories about George Osborne coming up, popbitch have the outline but clearly the details are very actionable and half of fleet street will be trying to second source and legal departments on overtime Bet it's cocaine tho. edit: paste from popbitch: >> Wedding hell << We all got mail There's going to be some awfully awkward chatter in the pews at George Osborne's wedding on Saturday. Yesterday, the bulk of the happy couple's guest list (alongside a number of national newsdesks and a handful of Westminster power players, who were helpfully BCCed) received an eye-popping email from an anonymous sender. Running to 2,500 words, with multiple attachments and links for further reading, most of the allegations it contains about George's personal conduct are absolutely extraordinary (and absolutely unprintable). Suffice to say, they all fall under the header of "Bombshells". It's led to some feverish speculation as to who would do this in the run-up to the big day. A disgruntled former colleague? A disgruntled former wife? Whoever it is, even the most hardened hacks on Fleet Street were left open-mouthed at the nerve required to send such an incendiary email. It's certainly not the most dignified way to air your grievances with the groom, but at least they had the good grace not to leave it until the vicar asked if anyone had any objections. I interviewed his former dom escort, Natalie Rowe in about 2011. She'd been trying to get the tabloids to tale her story for some years by then so I wouldn't be surprised if she's having another go.

Honestly, I really don't care if they have affairs or kinks or whatever. That's their private life. Do what they want.
But if he's chancellor and abuse privilege/ taking backhanders OR he's taking drugs while doing actual work then that's another matter.

It's kompromat, to use the Russian term. I'm not sure it matters any more because the only people it applies to are the people that the Daily Heil and the Murdoc press go after.

The text part of the email is up on Pastebin, simply put Osborne shags anything he can when he can and when shouldn't. To be honest for the man who fucked the entire country it's all a bit tedious really. pastebin.com/3DRZpzDP

I tried reading it but it had the tone of V for Vendetta wannabe 17 year old and I instantly knew it wasn't going to be all that good.
His knew wife will undoubtedly know what she's in for. He's also no longer relevant to the country.
If the choice is an exposé on Osborne shagging anything (willingly) or Braverman having a refugee as a nanny, I'd take the later as it actually serves a purpose to impact the government.

Isn’t it just boring celebrity gossip now? He isn’t a politician, it’s nothing about him doing anything illegal when he was a politician and it’s the sort of thing most MPs seem to get up to.

The stuff about him shagging a 16 year old when he was 49 won’t go down well though. Plus there is some suggestion in there he gave his assistant a 45 per cent pay increase when in office - and he was having an affair with her at the time (and this is who he is now marrying).

I dunno, the bit about the girl who’d ‘only just turned 16’ is a bit gross. I appreciate its legal but almost certainly would ruin his post-politics career, surely.
Other than that it’s pretty much nothing mind you.

His career will be safe, unless he wants to transition into hosting any daytime TV shows on ITV (even then, probably fine, unless it turns out one of these 16 year old girls is a boy).

I doubt it’ll ruin his career when there’s no way he’s the only one doing disgusting things.

Zero chance he keeps his job if the shagging schoolgirls thing starts to become real and bring heat on him in the press.

Everyone knew he was a useless cokehead when he left office and he still fell face first into several lucrative 'jobs'. He hasnt really even got a career to ruin, he just lives one of those charmed lives, fuelled by money and cocaine, bouncing from one highly paid paper round to the next.

I don’t think Phillip Schofield, who did family shows and career was based on being a nice guy, is comparable with George Osborne in any way.

Yeah, there’s a hint of sexual assault, possibly worse in there. Fuck all will happen about it, obviously.

It is actually notable how differently Schofe, who doesnt come from money or nobility, with no real connections within the privately educated political strata and someone like Chris Pincher or any of the other blue-blooded sex offenders in consequence free environment of parliament are treated.

Yeah, there’s a hint of sexual assault, possibly worse in there. Fuck all will happen about it, obviously. It's hearsay, there's no evidence of it so that's it really unless someone comes forward and makes a complaint which is pretty unlikely. I'm sure everyone who really knows him knows exactly what he's like and they're probably as awful as he is.
Bloke is a cunt, his friends and associates are cunts, the writer of this email is almost certainly a cunt too.

As someone who is nominally straight edge (no I don't have an X on my hand) and has worked with county lines affected kids, I am fully in favour of legalisation/ decriminalisation of drugs.
The American prohibition model absolutely does not work and makes things much, much worse. The British model was respected for years - addicts get gear from GP, keep jobs and are encouraged to manage/ decrease their addiction.
Under prohibition, user dealer model just means it gets worse and worse and worse. Legalise certain drugs, encourage everyone onto those, tax the fuck out of it and make it so you can only buy from licenced places. All the tax goes into education. Kills the criminal enterprise. If it doesn't, it takes away a shit load of their income.

Many drugs should be illegal to sell but decriminalise the usage and possession and focus on treatment and improving the quality of life in the country.
I’d love to see the cost of the current approach vs the relaxed approach, as well as the societal impact. As with most things I suspect the kind and understanding approach it far more productive and better for everyone.

Decriminalisation for personal use is a step in the right direction, but it still leaves the manufacture and supply (largely) in the hands of criminals. You miss out on the possible financial benefits of legalisation, whilst not solving the associated crime problem. Legal drugs are also vastly safer than street drugs.

The irony is, there is this massive, professional and highly sophisticated mail order business model running in the shadows where you dont have to go anywhere near a drug dealer, just have your Evri guy drop it off with your Etsy order.
If the barrier of entry wasnt as high as it is, the street corner dealers would be gone overnight.

You don't need to go near a drug dealer, but you are still purchasing from one who isn't paying tax, and there is no duty on the sold product. And despite being "professional and highly sophisticated" there is no quality control

Yeah, absolutely. But the point is that there is an entire, complex industry already out there turning over billions. Its already a thing. Just tax and regulate it and be done with it.
I just think its wild that our default position is 'head in sand', pretending it doesnt exist. Its absolutely moronic.
