She's both staggeringly arrogant and stupid. How can anyone possibly think that that was a good idea, whilst in charge of law and order? She is definitely my most despised MP at the moment.

She'll just say she was speeding to Dover to stop the small bottles.

She's someone who said on her CV that she contributed to a book while lawyering that was dismissed as she only did some photocopying.
One of the absolute dregs of Parliament

Martin Lewis concisely makes the obvious point that privatisation without competition is a disaster for consumers, Tory MP and Laura Kuensburg talk over him and hand wave the point away. Sunday Politics in a nutshell. Madness. This is probably where the actual voting public is at the moment. They're not Marxists who believe in the command economy, they're not Libertarians who just expect markets to sort shit out. You'd probably get a good centre ground from the following: - Should we nationalise small innovative tech companies or have competition? Competition probably - Is there any competition in the water companies we're all stuck with? No and there cannot be so fucking nationalise it. - Trainlines? Well I want to go from London to York, I don't actually have a choice in the company so fucking nationalise that. - Should we nationalise the music industry and have a department in Whitehall decide what bands we hear? No Etc. etc. It's why Truss and Corbyn both failed in their polar opposite ways. While the Corbyn left can point to certain things as being popular to nationalise, they probably got the impression it was his first choice for literally any question. That and they're probably perfectly happy with a more chill version of waiting for train operators to fail or franchises to come up and having a 2nd party nationally owned company to bid for things. Sort of how LNER works or the Dutch train operator. Which in fairness is where Starmer's actual policy platform kind of is; even if they're shocking at getting that across.

'Sunak resists calls for inquiry into Braverman speeding course claims' says the BBC. Of course he fucking does.
At this point, I'm willing to believe that she has evidence of literal skeletons in his closet, as it's the only halfway-sane explanation for why she still has a job.

It's not skeletons, it's dildos. Big dildos. All those rumours about William? Planted by team Sunak.

More from Suella. She tried to avoid having to vote for her own bill.

The trying to dodge the vote thing is really weird when she’s so vocal and so gung-ho. Its not like she can try and claw back some plausible deniability that maybe she was never that into it when no one campaigns harder for it.

She's a stupid sociopath, basically the equivalent of Boebert in the US, except Braverman is in a serious government position that has deep consequences.

What Cubby said - I would've used Taylor Greene as a comparison, given how often Braverman's antics appear in the mainstream press, but otherwise I agree 100%.
The sooner she's gone, the better.

Gone? She's angling to be our next PM and in this utterly fucked up timeline it might actually happen.

Could be Sunak or an ally leaking all this to to try and damage her chances. Although she's also thick enough to be leaking it herself in an effort to goad Sunak into sacking her.

C'mon, guys - Braverman will never be PM! She's too psychotic and stupid even for the Tories, so we needn't worry about--
-- Oh, right - we were a pube's breadth away from having Johnson back after Truss imploded, weren't we?
As you were...

it's going to be penny mordaunt picking up the tory party leadership after their forthcoming general election loss - thirsty centrist dads all got horny on main during the coronation and throbbing tory members all think watery bints wielding swords is a perfect basis for a system of government

Ideally Braverman is next Tory leader after they lose the election. It'll be worse than Hague, or IDS, they'll be out of power for 20 years.

Johnson clearly didn't have *enough* support for a comeback, or we'd still be stuck with the feckless bastard, but it was nevertheless depressing to see how many Tories were willing to prostrate themselves before him even after all that had happened.

Back to Cruella, the BBC is now reporting that Sunak plans "to consult an ethics adviser" over her dodgy speeding machinations.
Does Sunak even know what ethics are? He may as well consult Mystic Meg for all the good this 'adviser' will do, and she's been dead for two months.

She was literally sacked for breaking the Ministerial Code a week before he took over, what did he think she would be like?

A Tory leader and PM who is apparently so confused about the difference between right and wrong that he's getting a contractor in.

Dammit, I shouldn't give them ideas.

Portillo's eccentric dress sense is a good way of checking an LCD panel's uniformity, he's a walking test pattern.
