Wait. Bill > William > Prince William! (well, it could be) Hmmmm, on a scale of 1 to 10, how attractive do you find the picture below, user Bill james Bill?

I used to be pretty mild on the Royal family thing. I didn't care about them at all, but they did ok with state visits and there was the tourism argument.
Since the fawning for days on end during the Queen's funeral, the disgusting treatment of Harry & Meghan by our press (whether you like them or not, the press has been vile) and the mild tut tutting instead of a trial for Andrew, I've moved almost completely to burn the lot down. I would still say there are more important things to be done, such as election reform, but they have zero place in the modern era. Plus, I would say we have far too much reverence in our culture for birth and the aristocracy, surely stemming from our awe for the Royals. Removing them would be a big step in changing that culture.

They can also fuck off showing me pictures of their kids. I don't want to see pictures of my mate's kids, why the fuck would I want to see some from total strangers?

But didn't you know they're totally down to earth now because one of them wore a hand-me-down jumper from an older brother? You should be worshiping the little cherubs!
The jumper probably cost more than I earn in a day, but that's beside the point!

For me it's all just a bit of fun and not worth getting upset about. If becoming a republic would change anything then there would be an argument to be had.

Charles seems to be the only one talking about trimming the royal fat these days. Though this is the first time in a long time that I've noticed people actively disengaging and not giving a shit.
Other than the odd pub with flags and the BBC doing its "please watch our coverage" bullshit, it's nothing compared to past stuff with the queen.

The Queen has several unique, almost unrepeatable advantages over charles. Namely, she grew up largely out of the spotlight and was basically anonymous when she became queen.
If she was coronated now, she would look like as much of a charmless moron as the rest of them.

I can't imagine this is going to go down well in Labour HQ but it's hard to disagree with him:

I know he was 'only' in the TA but Clive is probably the only person in the country to have been to Sandhurst who wouldnt immediately drop to their knees and clean out Charles batty crease.

Being as he's an actual Socialist, Starmer will probably eject him from the party now for not cap-doffing hard enough.
He's right, though.

I'd not seen this before, and I know it's Al Jazeera so requires heavy skepticism and plenty of salt, but if any of this is close to the truth it is not a good look for Starmer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=elp18OvnNV0

So when Corbyn's team and Momentum did similar things to the right of the party when they took over, it was OK, but now the shoe is on the other foot it's a terrible injustice and anti-democratic?

In other shocking news, a political struggle within a political party has led to a new political balance and leadership.

Unfortunately, we seem beyond that point.
Fwiw, I meant Lewis is right and my comment about Starmer is just a jab.
I'm genuinely reaching the point where I don't think I give a fuck about the Labour party any more.

I can't say I particularly care about the Labour party but they're still preferable to the a Tories, and they're actually, just about, a viable option.
It's not so much that I love the current Labour party, it's more that my indifference is outweighed by my sheer hatred of the Tories. And that's enough for me.
And honestly I can't say I was a Corbyn fan.

And when we’re done using that heavily debunked antisemitic propaganda source, let’s head over to George Galloway and Asa Winstanley for their takes.

Pretty certain there is a good reason why you only see the Labour Files referenced on twitter and places like The Canary. Not even the Daily Mail or Express give it any credance and they don't need much evidence to back up what they print when it comes to attacks on Labour.
