Captain Beany, 618 votes.
618 people actually put their mark next to this.
More than six hundred people.
I mean, he's a captain. That rank has to mean something.

Oh and David Cameron also banished to the Lords, never to be seen or heard from again

So a mentalist will take over the Tories and lurch to the right to subsume the Reform vote. Then in the next election there'll be quite a bounce back (there probably would be one anyway even holding the same course) from them and a whole lot empty space in the centre-right for Labour to be tempted to stand in on some issues to gain more votes. They'll still be to the left of the conservatives though, right?
The next few years are really important, that temptation has to be taboo. Maybe Corbyn and Momentum can be useful in some ways?

Hopefully they can do something about the house of lords, far too many of them.

You have to kiss the king's hand? Just vomited in my mouth imagining puckering up to kiss those sausages fingers.

I know there are plenty of his detractors here but I thought that was quite the speech.

I wonder how Owen Jones is doing? He's wanking in a cupboard staring at a picture of Starmer and slapping himself in the face at the same time.

I actually found that a bit emotional. Don’t @ me. But that public service and move from performative bullshit and country first is exactly what I needed to hear. I think it made me realise how cynical that lot have made me.

Watching the BBC you can hear Laura K. being a bit pissed off.
Good speech, said the right things and yeah, having someone who acts like a grown up is nice again in No 10.

I wonder how Owen Jones is doing? Quite well, I would imagine. He’s got five straight years of throwing shit from the sidelines ahead of him. He is going to be the Farage Of The Left

Seen a stat saying around 80% didn't vote for Labour. Can't be right?

Seen a stat saying around 80% didn't vote for Labour. Can't be right? Same with Brexit, not everyone voted, not everyone voted for Labour. You just need a majority of the people arsed to leave the house.

Unexpected fact. Sinn Féin are now the 5th biggest party. 0.4% of the vote giving 7 seats versus Reform's 14%+.

This is 80% of voters which makes me think it's BS. They can't have been that split between all the other parties surely?
