Full segment from John Olivers show considering Sky won't show it Watching that just made me way more fired to get the corrupt, entitled cunts out.

Apparently the episode will be available to stream. The streaming rules are less strict than broadcast, so they should be able to show it there.
All a bit odd though. I can understand if this was being shown on a news channel and the difference between entertainment and news might be blurred. Even the BBC I could see having issues being a public service broadcaster (although, you could also argue that gives them more reason to state facts like this), but this is clearly an entertainment programme.

To understand what a tedious shit Simon Jenkins is just look at his books: Fuck me this is boringOr Kill me nowIt's just fucking lists of old buildings and moaning about anything modern.

I'm on holiday in Suffolk near Southwold and the amount of green party signs up around the area is pretty incredible. I'll have to look up later whether they are actually doing well or just have a strong sign game like the Lib Dems do round my way back home.

Full segment from John Olivers show considering Sky won't show it It's about half of it, it's close to 30 minutes.
If you are in France or can appear to be in France somehow (obviously that's impossible isn't it?) then the whole show, including an opening segment of insanity about the 10 Commandments is here :

France seems to get it quickly while other European nations don't, my VPN is normally set to the Netherlands and it's not there either. Using Opera's built in VPN won't work if anyone wanted to try that.

How/why is a labour candidate being suspended? What knowledge would they have had?
Unless this is Labour showing how it is done, acting decisively - quickly acting when somebody is being investigated as they were an MP (or potential MP) that made bets on the date, even though they know in this case it was just a lucky guess/bet.

A Labour parliamentary candidate is being investigated by the Gambling Commission, and Labour have immediately suspended him. Your move, Rish!

I get the impression that gambling on anything and everything has become completely normalised for a section of society. It's completely alien to me. I'm not being a snob about it, my mrs works in the sector. Actually I am being a snob about it.

One of the bet scandal explainers mentioned proportion of adult pop who gamble regularly as - I think it was half? (maybe less, definition of "regularly" another variable) But was quite staggering. Every other advert or high street shop is for a fun way to gain a life destroying gambling addiction, so I guess it shouldn't be that big a surprise

The only non novelty gambling I've ever done is a few rollover lotteries, including the Omaze house (this time it's mine!). I just don't see the attraction. The house always wins.

It's not unknown for someone to bet against their own team in sport as at least there's some compensation if the worst happens but for a Parliamentary candidate to do it is pretty bloody stupid.

The point is you can't bet against yourself winning something. Footballers can't bet against themselves if they are playing.

What about if you wear a fake moustache and a hat? Ivan Toney missed out on this one weird trick.
I was referring to a fan betting against their own team, obviously players in it can't.
