Imagine Churchill saying he changed his vote because the opposition were laughing at him. Or Thatch.
It would be nice to think his constituents will see what an utter worm represents them, but judging by that fuckwit he tried to stage the fake interview with, they'll be happy enough.

Yeah, it doesn't speak well to your hard man image that you sacrificed your principles because those mean Labour boys were laughing at your trainers

I live in Ashfield and I don't want your pity. Local news did a vox pop of people's opinions on the whole Rwanda guff and got lots of "You've got to do something." responses, but filming during the day, they mainly spoke to pensioners. Lee's GB News turn and bleating to Reform not to stand leads me to believe that he knows he's fucked electorally. And the fact that a former care home has been turned into an asylum centre tells me CCHQ know it too.

A chunk of my family are from the worksop/clowne (appropriately enough) area and they all talk and think like this cunt. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them appeared as fake Vox pops in one of his 'Lee's People' segments.
One of them claims to have known Jason Statham, who is from Shirebrook, fact fans, and not a real proper cockney sparrah

Ah yes, Cockney common man Jason Statham.
Ignore his Derbyshire roots and grammar school education.

The new YouGov poll is even worse for the Tories than the headline figures.

Like I said the other day, Tories in their current form must surely be done. They're increasingly irrelevant to majority of people and will probably split.
The rich lords of the world will use their influence in other ways.

I still think, though they aren’t willing to admit it, that a lot more people will vote tory at the next election. I was wrong about this in 97, and hope I am wrong now.

Brown should have used some zingers like this when PM. That woman was a bigot though.

Probably take home another £100k if they play it right and then grift their way into another job. Once the election comes it's game over for a lot of them and they don't have the personality to get a BBC 2 show fannying about on trains. I can imagine they've all looked at Rory Stewart and Nadine, then looked in the mirror. What's the best they can get?

There is just enough time for some of them to take those cushy 'secretary of something' jobs for a few weeks and then claim the parachute payment.

Did Rishi really use the "will of the people" line? Are we back in 2016?

Its also very disingenuous.
Do you care about immigration? [the people] Yes!
Do you give a single fuck about the Rwanda plan? [the people] No!

"Prime Minister, you say the Rwanda policy is 'the will of the people' but currently polling says the will of the people is for a general election to get rid of you cunts and maybe flying you to Rwanda?"

To be fair to him, he said he was into cricket and sport, before she immediately asks him a question about football. There are more many more sports out there then football. His "there were lots of goals and it ended in a 1-all draw" line I took as an intentional joke (not a very original one, but a pretty good one). In today’s VAR climate 10 total goals could well result in a one-all draw.

Yeah this has always been the contradiction at the heart of the concept. For Rwanda’s sake it has to be positioned as a credible “asylum’ solution, but for Tory voters it has to be positioned as punishment for attempting to migrate, or worse a deterrent as it’s even worse than the place they’re attempting to flee from. It can’t be both and they’ve constantly tripped over that dissonance.

Like most things, the problem is that fantasy met reality. It was supposed to be 'here is a big bag of money, you won't have to do anything'.
And then we argued for two years about how likely you are to get murdered there.

The truth of it is all the more obvious by France literally offering us somewhere to 'process applications offshore' and us turning them down. Obviously Calais isn't a big enough shithole to appease elderly racists.
