It all feels so horribly cynical. So very much on brand. It's a shame he left in a huff, but I would LOVE to get Rogueywon's perspective on all of this. He was a lone voice in a sea of centrist Dads....

Biometric checks come in, in October. So be nice to have 6 weeks of Dover/M20 chaos, just before going to the polls.

Rogueywon would do the I’m a small “c” conservative stuff I see many of them doing. You can be a different strand of conservatism, you can stand for less corruption and more reasonable measured conduct but damn well speak out. Where the hell are all of these small c’s hiding day to day?

Maybe Sunak thinks blowing up some Jihadis will give him a boost so will go "early", it won't but as long as this zombie government dies soon I don't care.

The day the tories are kicked out of the office will be great day. Its really fucked up how living standards have gone downhill due to tory rule.
I just hope people don't do a "brexit" on voting day

Where the hell are all of these small c’s hiding day to day? The small c Conservatives just hated Brexit and Johnson (and Truss). Listen to the likes of Rory Stewart and Michael Heseltine now and they are a lot more cagey about their disapproval of Sunak. I expect if Sunak had his own way and wasn't constantly placating the looney wing of the party he would just be a Thatcherite that those small c Cons would be fawning over.

I stopped up all night for the 97 landslide, it was brilliant TV As soon as the gutless wonder names the election date, I’m booking the Friday off to recover (a mistake I made in 97)

Absolutely this, the lunatics are running the asylum and Shatman is trying to keep them cooped up. Pathetic shite.

Government defends spending £27,000 on wine during Covid
I guess they had to keep Nadine occupied somehow.

Where the hell are all of these small c’s hiding day to day? He was the epitome of a Tory - claimed to be a reasonable small 'c' conservative, who might even vote for Labour in the right circumstances. But sometimes the mask would slip and he'd reveal himself to be a sports fan Tory. Remember his crowing when they won the 2017 election (maybe 2019?). I also remember him once trotting out the 'Tories always have to fix the economy after Labour spend all the money' bollocks. Small 'c' Conservatives are just the acceptable face of a disgusting ideology. The reason we don't see them at the moment is because they're keeping their heads down so they can enjoy the largesse of the current shits before popping back up in the future and going 'oh no, that wasn't us'. Tories and the ruling classes in general understand solidarity better than any Marxist.

Likelikelikelikelikelikelikelikelikelike.
Fuck them all tbh. Particularly the shitheels like Rory Stewart, anyone that crosses the floor, or the purgees complaining after 2019. They were there from 2010 when aaaaaall this started, and they all fucking lapped it up.
Benefits, Surestart, Disability Living Allowance, Mobility Allowance, Legal Aid (hey guess what might have helped sub postmasters), compensation for wrongful conviction, local authority subsidies (so goodbye libraries, youth centres, outreach, homelessness programmes, SEN and other education matters) and every single civil service department cut to the fucking bone and beyond.
Fuck them into the fucking sun. And collapse it. They don't get to complain now, when they should have been complaining at least 9 years ago.

I love the 'spend all the money' thing. The money isn't spent, you cunts, it's invested in places that you hate.

The Post Office is a 100% publicly owned corporation, they're pretty much the government so can't be fucked for tax problems. The board that has fucked up can certainly get ditched though.

By ditched you mean moved into equally well paid positions with zero consequences for their actions, right?

After getting back to a mates flat, got stoned and whitied. It was about two days later that I found out that New Labour had won.

Assuming all goes to plan, this will the first election I will have taken part in that has actually had a somewhat decent result. I was 18 in August 2005, so would have just missed out on Blair's final win by 3 months.
Also planning to book off the Friday this year.

It's like they have no self awareness whatsoever. It's actually amazed me, no words. That wouldn't be in any way at all a response to Neidle's report today that they've traced another 25 companies where Douglas Barrowman's ownership was unlawfully concealed, now would it...

It's been a while since I've read a telegraph front page properly. There is absolutely no shame in how tory sided their coverage is isn't there? Front page commentary saying just how awful a tory loss will be.
