Another one that PE have been banging on about for years. Absolutely downright criminal. All of it.

The Sun doing what the Sun does best. Misrepresent the facts and try and spin a positive into a negative. Scum.

Whilst preventing the death penalty. Which they do oppose, honest.
They'll flip 2 months out from the election.

The Scum playing the man not the ball before the match day has even been announced is probably going to have minimal impact, if they're using up shit like this now it's a pretty big sign of desperation after Sunak's shitfest yesterday.

They'll flip 2 months out from the election. If nothing else, it proves that working with these vermin is absolutely futile. He has debased himself for them this last year for absolutely nothing.

Yes, but that’s something they, and other right wing press seem to want. They’re not into justice, they like vengeance as the hate drives sales.

Loathe as I am to draw the comparison but they are proper steering towards 1984 levels of "just fucking scream at shit"

lmao, is the Sun basically coming out against accused criminals having access to legal representation? It isn't even that. The story seems to be about the work he did to have the death penalty removed from various countries and these are the people saved from death by the state due to his actions. They (or some of them, from the skim read I just had) weren't even representated by him, just benefitted from the campaigning he did.

But their readers will just see that he saved the lives of baby killers. That’s all they care about.

lmao, is the Sun basically coming out against accused criminals having access to legal representation? If they weren't wrong'uns they wouldn't need legal representation would they? QED.
Just ignore News International regularly having to have barristers work for them.

Man alive, I am doing this work thing so badly... Competent, honest and dilligent don't pay so well I guess. Although I won't get treated like Pablo escobar like poor Michelle did.

Getting a necromancer to bring back those that killed themselves over it when they'd done nothing wrong seems like the minimum required too.
Can't do that? It's time for long prison sentences for those responsible instead then.

Anyone who knew that the system was faulty and allowed this to go ahead needs locking up for a good period of time.
I haven't seen the ITV thing, but wasn't there also an element of this where the Post Office were effectively able to prosecute privately and therefore were able to ensure that defendants didn't know how many others were affected because if someone asked "surely not ALL of them could be stealing" it would fall apart? Because anyone involved in that needs super-locking-up.

It’s worse than that. The victims were literally told “this isn’t happening to anyone else” when the Post Office knew full well that it was.

To be fair no one else was actually stealing for the Post Office, so it’s kinda true….

This is the part that really needs investigating thoroughly with a view to criminal charges, there was coordination in this and that requires people directing that knew what was going on.

The ITV show is definitely worth a watch but it also is depressing how this shit show has been going on for over 20 years. It is absolutely scandalous and really should see some of the correct people behind bars.
It really shows the utter bollocks about post office legality, the government, police state working with big business. It's staggeringly bad.

This is fun. 'Elon, will you let us lie on twitter this year, we have an election coming up.' It had a community note added to it.
