I'll probably buy a PS6 when the time comes, but handing over another £500 or so for a mid-gen refresh between now and then? Fuck that. That's how I felt with the PS4 pro. I held out and the money I would have spent went towards a PS5 when I was eventually able to get one. That's how I'll justify the cost of a PS6 to the wife... On the subject of being able to get a PS5 back then, will the scalpers pull the same trick twice? |

I think it'll be like the One X and Pro, they weren't massive sellers like the OG consoles and I think it'll be the same here. It's an enthusiast product not something that everyone will be clamouring for. Moreso I am struggling to find the use case for this. One X and PS4Pro justified their existence as they met the resolution need that came with a proliferation of 4k screens. If PS5Pro can't as a minimum take a 30fps title to 60fps I just can't think how I can justify the purchase... And am someone who is usually pretty trigger happy for new consoles. |

Some confirmed PS5 news at least, the US has always had the Explore tab as the thing that pops up on start up (an ad filled mess apparently) we outside there were spared that but it looks like change is coming from the latest Mystic video, I'd assume this will roll out globally at some point.
One thing I miss from the PS4 is the log of what other people have been doing on the consoles (what they've been playing, trophies achieved etc) this looks like it's bringing some of that functionality back. All that stuff still works as you can see what people have done on PS5 when I occasionally fire up my old Pro.

Not sure how you make someone redundant and not piss them off? I guess one way would be not to visit a studio, say how well everyone is doing get them to pose for photos with you and then close them down. |

Visit the studio and prep management, then start the process.
He's not going to tell them they're all shit, and the photo op won't have been his suggestion (god knows why anyone wants photos with business leaders to start with, mind).
Hopefully everyone involved got fair redundancies but even that is just mitigation for the fallout.

YES WE HAVE Didn’t know it was different elsewhere. That’s why it was always funny to me when people complained about the tiny rectangular ads on Xbox while ignoring PS5’s big ol ad screen on power on, with trailers and “news” and whatever. |

Yeah outside of the US (maybe Canada as well), the default tab is just whatever you were last playing, Explore doesn't exist.

I used GAME to trade in my PS4 for the Pro, now that they no longer do trade in I think that'll exclude me from investing in the PS5 Pro.
