And almost perfectly on time there's a significant price drop for the slim at the moment.
They're reeling me back in again. I'm such a slag

So this price for the slim seems too good to pass on. I don't think it would ever go for much cheaper?
Was going to get the OG model but there is quite a big difference in size when I saw it in the shop.

I’d like a slim as I want a second for the office but there’s no sale on the digital model here.

I have a portal arriving today. Severely miss the ol’ remote play on the Vita, and it doesn’t work too well on my Steam deck. I’m in the narrow category of users who would get a lot of usage out of it.

I'm very tempted by the Portal myself, please let us know how you find it

Portal is great. It’s the best ergonomic handheld I’ve played. I pretty much use it all the time.

I love it. It's absolutely perfect for my home life. If you've got the run of the main TV it's pretty useless but for letting the Mrs or kids watch what they want while you crack on with a bit of gaming, it's ideal. Used it for hundreds of hours and I think I've had a slight dropout in quality about two or three times for a few minutes.

We've got one and can confirm it's actually a really decent bit of kit. Bought it originally because the wife prefers to game on handhelds these days as she finds gaming on the TV gives her eyestrain after a while - to the point where she's built up quite the back catalogue of PS5 games she wants to play but keeps putting them off for handheld games.
If I'm not working I'm in the kitchen during the daytime as the dogs are in and out all the time, so it's perfect to be able to just pick up and play some PS5 at the kitchen table.
I honestly expected it to be just a gimmick, but if you have a use case for one, it'll come in really handy.

Yeah I love it. If you can play your PS5 as often as you want it’s pointless but it’s been a game changer for me as I rarely get access to my TV at weekends.

It's been such a a welcome addition for me that if they launched the PS6 with the option of the Portal equivalent bundled, I wouldn't hesitate to order that version.

Stop. Making. Me. Want. To. Spend. Money.
(I virtually never get to use the telly until about 9pm, but not sure I'll magically find more time. Never let that get in the way of new shinies mind you).

With rumours of a PS5 Pro later this year, those of us with an OG PS5 unit might be better served waiting for that rather than a slightly smaller version of what we’ve got.

Had I not secured a PS5 ages ago, I'd certainly grab one now!

I've held off this long from the ps4 though..... Think any pro would be out my price range. I was tempted to stick with the 4 but assetto corsa is virtually unplayable and I need demons souls

If it helps, put a £ figure on how much your time is worth and the PS5 will have paid for itself with faster loading by the end of the month. Its the next genniest thing about it.

Haha, similar to my comment about gigabit internet the other day. Pays for itself with the instant reduction in thumb twiddling time!
Do it.

Tekken 8, current gen only, loads into fights in about 4 seconds. Tekken 7 took nearly 20 on the PS4. Its a beautiful thing.

For those with the Portal, have you got your PS5 plugged in on ethernet or are you on Wifi? I've heard ethernet makes a big difference?
