Watched the DF video on The Order the other day, still looks stunning and unofficially 60fps on PS5. Never finished it. Anyone know of a way to start the download for PS5 as opposed to PS4 via a PC? youtu.be/QJm0wreAOK0

If you've got a PS5 and a PS4 the PSN website will ask which console you want to target with any downloads. You'll always be getting the PS4 version no matter though as there isn't a PS5 one and the modded version requires a PS5 that's not connected to PSN. The game never got a Pro update either as RAD had already moved on by the time that arrived.
I did finish the game when it came out and enjoyed it but it was far too short and had zero replayability, the fights with the werewolves were shite too.

Funnily enough I reinstalled The Order the other day after seeing that article. It genuinely does still look amazing.

It and Ryse on Xbox One had no business looking that good during those consoles’ launch period.

It's a shame the game part was a 3 hour glorified tech demo as I thought the world had a lot of potential and the shooting wasn't completely terrible even if it was as basic as it gets.
Would have been looked on more fondly if it was a launch game.

As it can be picked up for peanuts now I do actually recommend it. It’s worth a play through. Think of it as a three part tv special with the odd shooty bit.
I like it.

Yeah, I thought it was unfairly maligned when it released. It’s like if you take Gears of War’s combat and placed it in Penny Dreadful’s spooky monster London setting.
It’s maybe not a bonafide classic, but the world and lore had potential, and I’d have loved a sequel.

Any higher and I’d be completely out. I don’t really see how it could be lower, so yeah!

200 is probably the right side of what I thought it could be tbh.

I don’t really want one but it definitely makes it something you could feasibly pick up in a moment of weakness and then instantly regret.

I mean it's just a dumb unit without any functionality if there's no wifi. I dunno, I just think 200 quid is a bit much for a glorified tablet stuck to a controller that I feel most people will put away in a draw about 6 months after the novelty has worn off.

I agree. Although every time I’ve tried remote play, including on Steam deck, it’s largely been a bit shit. If this solves that for using at home then it’s a low enough price for it to be tempting. 150 in a sale and I’d probably just buy it.
I don’t see anything with a decent screen costing less.

It is almost 100% going in a drawer after the novelty wears off on WFH days but it's the sort of price that isn't outrageous as a bit of a folly for someone who enjoys their tech.

Oh yeah, it will definitely appeal to the specific demographic. Hell, I used to be part of it. I only stopped because I had storage boxes in mum's garage of this kinda shit and I just realised I was buying stuff for the sake of it. Does that make sense to anyone?

I don't get the need to spunk 200 bells when I can already sync a controller to my phone/tablet, buy a £20 grip and stream games anyway.

I'm currently at the precipice of wondering what the fuck I'm doing with my spare money myself.
I think this will launch too soon for me to be on the right side of that though.

£200 seems a reasonable price, maybe more than I'd want to pay but certainly not outrageous. Does show how expensive the Edge is more than anything else.
I've used Remote Play a fair amount and it's been pretty useful, biggest surprise it doesn't support PS+ Premium game streaming, that seemed like an obvious thing.

As a tech purchase, just to play with for a bit for the sake of having it, I think it's a ridiculous waste of £200.
As a price point for a shared-screen home that would actually make use of it (providing it's solid connection and little latency) I think it's probably about right. £150 in a sale and I think they'd shift a few.

If it gives Wii U like functionality, its not a bad price. Its going to live and die by that, though. It has to offer something more than the current, shitty remote play experience.
Also: I cant believe it has no bluetooth. Fine, it has a headphone jack but, come on...

Yeah, my eyebrow raised sharply when I read "no Bluetooth". It's like they love taking the piss.

It supports the new PS Link system, Bluetooth audio isn't supported on the PS5 either.

I dont often carry my PS5 around and play it when other people are loudly using the TV, though.

The Switch is the only current console that supports Bluetooth audio without an adapter and it's pretty much terrible from all accounts.
