There might not be many of us, but you can also preorder the new VR in GameStop in Ireland

Read that Tetris Effect, Rez and Thumper are all getting PSVR2 upgrades and started reconsidering buying one as it meant I'd actually have games I already own to play on it at launch, 3 of my PSVR faves as well.
Then I read they aren't actually free upgrades and went back to noping out. Have already bought Moss but if I wanted to play it on PSVR2 I'd have to purchase it again. Total fucking bollocks. Got a few hundred quid of digital licenses for PSVR games that are now just wasted thanks to no BC and the lack of inclusion of any pack-in games or even a demo disc is the final nail in the coffin.
Was all in on buying one when it was first announced as well

Still deciding whether to stick in a psvr2 order. Having only dabbled in Vr with a couple of titles there is a lot of stuff there for me to play. That initial launch line up would provably last me best part of a year or more.
It’s just that has with all things prieherals or added extras to a console it would probably just eventually collects dust. It’s very much in that luxury product category.

Can understand why you might expect free upgrades on Sony made vr games but third parties need to make money. They will have put work into porting from PS4 over to ps5 and need to recover those costs.

Is there an upgrade path for the likes of Tetris Effect, Moss and Rez, or do you just have to buy the full version again?

Full version again I think.

I can't think of anything I'd actually be arsed about playing again. Beat saber maybe but even that I'd pretty much had my fill of.

They will have put work into porting from PS4 over to ps5 and need to recover those costs. Maybe. A lot of developers put out PS5 upgrades after the fact. Whether that was to drum up new sales on the new platform (as they might with PSVR2) or because Sony threw some incentives around so that there’d be content on their new platform. It’s would seem in Sony’s interest to pay devs a little to port games to the new hardware, give it a boosted library.

Think I'll wait for the inevitable price drop.
That or I wait for the next Switch, whatever comes first.

Still baffled at the complete lack of marketing for such a big product. Sony are very odd.

Aye. I wouldn't know it was coming out at all if it wasn't for this thread. Utterly baffling behaviour.

I don't think it is a big product really. It's an oddity aimed at enthusiasts who don't really need to be advertised to. Have you ever seen an advert for any VR thing ever?

Yeah what Frog said, I saw a ton of adverts at Christmas for the Oculus Quest when I was over for the holiday. You're have something like GT7 supposedly a big PS game and the Devs have made the entire game bar split screen into VR that's a momentous undertaking and there's been fuck all fanfare about it. You would expect a State of Play for this.

It's still a month off. I'd expect more when it's available or very close. Oculus probably didn't do that sort of campaign pre-launch.

I do find the idea of FM on a console a bit odd.

Football manager games on console peaked with Kevin Keegan's Player Manager.

Can't you just stick a usb mouse in the consoles these days?

Yeah, not sure if FM supports it or not as the menus are built differently for console. Only tried the early ones and that was brief

Also wouldn't be going anywhere near it if you have an oled TV. Perfect game for screen burn.

Got my Dual Sense Edge earlier. Really nice controller. Same build quality feel and weight as the Xbox Elite (I have the V2), with some nice stick and trigger sensitivity options. The added rubber grip is subtle but good.
It will retire my Scuf for shooters.
