Don't worry it's ridiculously easy, 5 mins tops to install.

Well, I've ordered one! Now to wait for it to arrive, then attempt to install it without ruining the drive, my PlayStation, or both. Which did you go for? It's really simple, you just have to slide off the panel, remove a couple of screws, move the spacer, insert the drive, put in a couple of screws, slide on the panel, bob's your uncle! www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1vF42QfmTk

That's a bargain at that price. Same drive, too so should be easy. 👍🏻

That shell was unintuitive to remove. I went for the Sabrent heatsink cover to go with my Blade 2TB (which I actually spotted on EG in a deal) as it seemed better than the default heatsink. Worked nicely and nice to have a PS upgrade that adds to the default drive not replaced it (like with PS3 and PS4)

With the new ps plus stuff, can you still buy a 12month membership card from Cdkeys and join on the essential tier, or have they fucked that up?

Digital collectible == NFT? Let's hope not.
Weird to announce something like this without it being Live.

Its really difficult to overemphasise how worthless digital collectables are to me. I do genuinely lol a little when an expensive special edition contains just a digital version of the soundtrack and a digital art book.
They will look great on my digital coffee table.

Man, you weren't kidding! The actual installation process was amazingly simple, but I spent far too long fiddling with the shell while swearing at an ever-increasing volume.
Formatting the drive took a matter of seconds, followed by about an hour to copy across my data.
Now I'm in the patching phase, as none of my PS5 games have been updated since they were moved to the external HD - this is taking a long-ass time, even with all the downloads paused but one, but I can always do the rest tomorrow.
Thanks again for your help, everyone

Should be an instant buy for anyone that likes a card game (and doesn't hate things going meta). A solid card game, mixed in with a lot of fun stuff going on in the background.
One of my favourite games from last year when I played it on PC.

I'm really excited for it, but I'm going to hold on in the hope of a physical edition coming out at some stage.

And Sony continues being Sony with its weird pre-existing licences' issue re.complete editions... FFVII Intergrade unpurchasable on Premium to anyone who already has the base game claimed (which I imagine will be a large amount of Premium/Extra subscribers...). They really need to allow you to buy what the hell you want even if they have 3 pages of disclaimers and warnings about already owning stuff before you actually purchase it. The odd game manages to sneak through occasionally but the default seems to be stupidly set (managed to grab the Don't Starve Megapack during abrief period where the PSPlus already owned version somehow didn't interfere).
I wonder if this one being higher profile might elicit any change but this is Sony so... (At best I imagine they will just make the DLC part of the Premium too).

One_Vurfed_Gwrx I thought this was fixed? Any game I own on PS+ I can now buy separately, there's a little drop down option. In other Sony related stupidity, I have the PS5 version of Overcooked they gave away. I wanted to do 3 players, but I only have 2 PS5 controllers. You know what works? Use Remote Play and use a DS4 for 1 player on there, and use a PS5 controller for the other 2 players. The person on the DS4 can just play on the TV as normal too. I think any PS5 game can be played with the DS4 this way How thick

I remember back in the day purchasing PS+ freebies on autopilot and accidentally getting the cut down version of driveclub when I already owned the full thing digitally. Sony support were absolutely fucking comical. Their response was basically "Well that was silly of you... Nothing we can do. Bye."
The only way around it was to buy a physical copy of the game.

The problem isn't that you can't buy the DLC, it's that it's free on Plus via Integrade (base game and DLC) but if you own Remake (base game) then you can't get access to the DLC for free because there is no PSPlus version of it. You can buy it, and it's currently on sale, but they need add a version of it to subscribers.
Given the hoops they created previously around the Plus version of Remake it's not surprising that this is the current outcome but they should have realised and addressed it.

Which reminds me that Super Star Wars is another oddity and has been since Premium launched where it is on the list but only as Streamable for me. No download despite being a native PS4 title.
I am still annoyed that after the good deed of increasing the cloud save storage space that they still have a number of items limitation per format so I cannot actually cloud save all of my PS4 games due to being over the limit (and having to pick and choose what gets saved) even though the storage used is a small percentage of the total.

I've been streaming quite a few games since the new plus update, so far I've found it to be...Good?
I'm only on 40mb download through BT but it's been rock solid most of the time.
Image quality is not great but I'm playing PS2 and PS3 games so assume that's just standard.
Interested to hear other users thoughts.

Does anyone know what it means when you buy a new PS4 or PS5 game (UK/Europe/PAL) that *doesn't* have the official PlayStation tear-strip on the cellophane?
Whenever I see a product like this on eBay, I tend to assume that it's actually a used copy that has been resealed; however, perhaps there's a more benign possibility that I'm not considering.

Admittedly have yet to try something super demanding but I’ve been impressed with PS3 games in particular.

Just in case it might be of use to anyone, the six months free Apple TV+ offer for PS5 owners expires today.

After picking up a PS5 a couple of months ago, and my game playing time increased (rattled through Ratchet and Clank, spent a fair bit of time in GT7, and now playing through Spiderman Remastered (all excellent I've gotta say)) I've developed a fair bit of pain in my forearm, the right one in particular.
Apart from cramp with the switch and a bit of an ache from using th Xbox if for a long period, I've not experience pain that last for days afterwards.
Initial thoughts are that the impulse triggers are causing stress from the increased tension required to use them (very cool as it is) but before I go toddling off to the Drs, has anyone else experienced pain that lasts after using the new DualSense?

I actually have. More in my finger joints than my forearm though. I noticed it after I was running some time trials in the new Horizon. Think for me it was a combination of the triggers and the shape of the Dualsense, I prefer the Dualshock 4.

I had something similar back in the day from PGR on the Xbox. I solved it by turning off rumble. I think there’s something about driving games specifically that can fuck you up.

I think its a combination of getting old and playing something intense/competitive. I cant really play fighting games on pads anymore because I grip them so tightly and press the buttons so hard it give me cramps and fucks my thumb joints up.
