I've seen a leak of the Epic free games list and I believe the last game is upto the 4th January which apparently is Guardians of the Galaxy.

Played GOTG a while ago on Game Pass. It's surprisingly really good 7 to 8 out of 10 game. Nothing really original, but very enjoyable and a good interpretation of the characters.

Back to weekly freebies from Epic.
Next week's, Sail Forth, looks kinda interesting. Never heard of it, but it looks like a weird mashup of Windwaker's sailing bits and one of those tactical sailing games.

The freebie is a game called Love.
But the last couple of weeks I haven't seen the freebie the first time I loaded the Epic page. Maybe it's a page load issue, or something deliberate like some sort of AB testing?

The freebie section on seems to be the last bit of content that loads on the page and will just appear inline.
The love game is just a bit too old looking for me I can't get past that. Anything that looks older than a 16bit style usually turns me right off. It reminds me of Mr Puniverse on Commodore 16 or +4

So many free games everywhere.
As a kid I used to play demos from cds which came with gaming magazines. Those were my free games.
Kids these days are so spoilt getting so much great stuff for NOTHING.

Not sure what data Epic have gained for the 300+ games they've given me.
It's more of an alternative way to spend the marketing budget and draw people to your storefront.
