Severed Steel is another one I've never heard of, but looks nice.
I've been mulling over getting a worms game to play with the kids for a while now, so that's nice of gog. Though I can't help but feel these kinds of games work better on the Switch these days. (which is a shame as I have dozens of them on PC already)

I think Worms might be my most bought/prolific series of games. I seem to end up getting some version of it on any gaming platform I use regularly (with the exceptions of handhelds like the GBA & DS). It feels almost incomplete not having some version of Worms on a machine.

Oh man that's a trip down memory lane. Used to have some great games of that on a friend's A500.
Had some fun Worms Armageddon games with OP weapons like concrete donkey. Don't think I've even touched one of the games since then (apart from checking out the 3D one out of morbid curiousity)

I've never played Scorched Earth, but had something similar on the Acorn Electron called Barrage. It was pretty basic, just 2 artillery placements and you had to input the angle and power of the shot while taking account of the wind to take out the opposite one. Might have been 2-player only as well. For some reason, I enjoyed that quit a bit.

Death Tanks Zwei on Sega Saturn remains my favourite of the genre. Actually dragged the Saturn out of retirement to my brother's for Xmas as he requested it for some 6 player action.

I hope it's not Dishonored 2 because I already have that (and it's also free with Prime until next week), whereas Horizon would be more interesting... even if open world games really aren't my style lately.

It's definitely Dishonored—it's showing the mark of the Outsider—but maybe it's the whole series? They gave away the entire Tomb Raider trilogy this time last year, so why not.

Already have PS4 Horizon, but was thinking of going back to it and actually completing it this time. Would be nice to be able to do that with the shinier PC version (I assume it is shinier than playing the PS4 game on a PS5, although I see there is a 60fps patch for it there). Not something I would buy again, so hoping for that.
Already have Dishonored 2 on PC, so not that bothered if it is that. Does seem more likely to be that considering the other free games so far.

I strongly considered buying it but reviews turned me off on it. Still, it has a lot of interesting ideas so if you have a hankering for a soulslike, give it a shot.

I played the beta and it was very, very Soulslike. They really wear their inspiration of it on their sleeves. It was reasonably enjoyable, but it was like a tribute act, repeating something some one else made and doing it without much originality.
Good if you want more Souls, but probably better off just playing the originals (that's just from the beta though, so the full game might be more interesting).

Either way, not quite what I want from a Souls clone.

I quite liked it. I seem to remember it having a different parry/block mechanism where you "harden" in place (fnarr) that made the combat feel a bit different to the usual Soulslikes

Last free game Epic game is Dishonoured Definitive Edition. Interesting choice as I think loads of people have played this game by now. Not really what I was expecting to end your 12 days of Christmas giveaway, I know it's free and I don't want to sound ungrateful but you know what I mean.
