Bad Religion are one of the few bands that have escaped me from seeing live for some reason. I also have tickets to see BR next year after that has been pushed back 2 years.
I’ve only seen Alkaline Trio once but it was one of the most disappointing gigs I’ve been to. They pretty much just played deep cuts.

Listen to All I Want - Offspring (Acoustic Cover) by Convercide on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/7aygqIt's a bit rough as I'm at the tail end of a cold, but how's this? Will do a better version that's not straight to my phone at some point.

Gets my vote. Jessie and Tim did a song for the Tim Timebomb stuff a while back, so I don't see why not...

I think Op Ivy is one of those things best left in the past. Anything they do now will only disappoint those that want it. So much time has passed, it wouldn’t be a continuation. Just look at how Rancid has evolved

Speaking of Rancid, they’re top of the announcement for Slam Dunk next year

Speaking of Rancid, they’re top of the announcement for Slam Dunk next year I'm 100% grabbing tickets when they go on sale on October 1st. Bit annoyed as the site says 2021 ticket holders should have had early bird access. I didn't get an email, text or nowt!

Ha. Yeah, maybe some things are better left in the past but... I dunno, I'd fancy seeing this sort of thing live... youtu.be/0YWLJlmBihI(fucking hell, already 8 years ago!!)

I'm holding on to the hope they cameo on the Interrupters set in Feb when they support Dropkick Murphys....
Really unlikely though.

My mate just found a video of a bunch of at a Wigan all-dayer some 20-25 years ago with Converge, Refused, Ink & Dagger and various others playing. Mind-blowing actually, some of the talent that passed through this shithole in the 90's.

I want to say 1999 for that one? We used to drive up and stay at a mates in Speake, then get the train over and... I can't remember how we ever got home, tbh.
I remember seeing Converge in a beer garden in Wigan. It was insanely hectic, a big seething mass of noise and love.
Good times.

They're apparently playing The Fest this year, so hopefully he's ok. Now cancelled. Fuck, that's not good.

Slam Dunk 2022 booked.
Current future gigs:
Spunge Offspring Dropkick Murphys and The Interrupters Social Distortion Slam Dunk Festival Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg
Tempted by Flogging Molly but might get them nearer the time. Also will try to get Rebellion 2022 tickets when they go on sale.

Christ, are Spunge still going? Don't get me wrong, I saw them plenty of times back in the day and Kicking Pigeons was a favourite in the dingy alternative clubs I frequented, but I'm genuinely surprised they've lasted.

The current Social Distortion line up is great, with Johnny 2 Bags on geetar and David Hidalgo Jr on the drums. Should be a good one.

Yeah, was hoping he'd come back to the UK. Last Manchester gig was brilliant. 42 songs back to back, no fluff.

Whilst not straight up punk, this is very much in the pop-punk field. Cartel are a criminally underrated band that got screwed over by a major label for what should have been one of the biggest records in the scene at the time. Anyway, this is a full band live version of the album Chroma youtu.be/zyEbDqFBIqI

Was reminiscing about bands I'd seen and remembered King Prawn being pretty great, especially live.
Done a google search and they reformed a couple of years ago, guess I'll have to give their new(ish) album a listen. Looks like Babar Luck is no longer on bass though, which is a shame as he had great live presence.
Here's some older live footage:

Dropkick Murphys have postponed to 2023 (yup, have the right year...) and The Interrupters are no longer supporting. Le sigh.
