That looks like a fantastic walk. Nice moves too I've been inspired to order one of the pathfinder books mentioned above for my local area, as there's loads pretty much on my doorstep that I could do with exploring. The Pathfinder books really got me into walking - I have about ten of them. Really worth getting wherever you are or visit.

Pfft clickbait! No beers!! Yea bit weird that - there were plenty of beers though (and pub grub). Some people can really put away the drink and still walk miles the next day.

I am a big fan if the All Trails app for my walking, it’s a great little app if you haven’t checked it out please do.
I am walking 35 miles (in a day!) from Kew to Windsor along the Thames path later in May and currently doing a bit of training toward it. Last June myself and a friend did 34.5miles along Thames path Reading to Windsor and it was glorious - one of best sporting things I have done. Took about 11.5 hours with two or three pub stops along the way.

Never heard of All Trails but will check it out. I use Kamoot for stuff which works quite well.

You would be surprised. I can do about 10 miles to train for it then on the day just took it nice and steady with a camelback for water constantly taking small sips, with a nice stash of snickers in the rucksack. Then every 3 hours or so have a little half our pub stop, keep plucking away and suddenly 34 miles has gone. I had never walked more than 12 or so max before giving it a go, and as it is the Thames path it’s flat which helps massively I think. We were pretty (very) sore as we came into Windsor and directly to the pub for a burger and a few beers. I highly recommend the challenge!

Was in Brecon with the scouts over the weekend. Went to Ystradfellte / Cwm Porth waterfalls. There's one that you can walk behind. Sadly there was no cave with 200 rupees in a chest! Recommended.

Yea I've done that - indeed no rupees. Waterfalls are great after a rain storm - force of nature on display. There are quite a few waterfalls in that part of the world.

We then went back the following day for a morning of caving. It was pretty cool and some of the kids overcame their fears to end up enjoying it more than they expected!

Anyone remember this guy? www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-65576113We had a thread on the old forum when someone else came across his YouTube channel during his first straight line mission attempt. I've seen a few of mission videos since then, all have been great if you like that sorta thing. Worth checking out if you haven't imo.

I never did manage to keep up with his videos mind, although they were a lot of fun. Good to see

Oh yea, I sub to his channel. I remember when we were all chatting about him when he did his first attempt in Wales in the old EG forum. Need to check out his recent stuff.
