It's funny because even being generous and say back in "The good ol days" according to the late 20 something man children, where the majority of the audience was straight men and no icky girls around, we still didn't all like just one thing. We all got tired of WW2 shooters, which became getting tired of modern military shooters, which got tired of third person, duck behind cover shooters.
What they don't seem to realise is the audience is broader than ever. They're still prob the leading demographic I'd say, but businesses aren't turning down opportunities to get more profit by cornering other markets with games with broader appeal. Besides, one game being made that is of a different genre does not take away from the kind of games they do like, they're still being made.

I don't think they care. They're like a spoilt child that isn't the sole centre of attention anymore and is now crying and flailing until that changes again.

Story is about a "report" in the Daily Mail... I have a feeling this will end up being much like that story about a schoolgirl who identified as a cat, which turned out to be bollocks.

I was going to post the exact same thing user Vandelay. My Spidey sense went off went I saw it was a MSN link that well know for scraping absolute bullshit for sites presenting it as legitimate news.

I mean, it's the (Scottish) Daily Express and the Daily Mail, so the odds of it being true are about 0.1%. But even if it is true, I hardly think it's a sign of the impending apocalypse. Furries are hardly a new thing.

Yeah, it has the same kind of feel. If it's true it's daft but I strongly suspect it's just some rage-baiting, transphobic, dog (wolf?) whistle nonsense.

One of the cleaners at work was telling us about a kid at her daughter’s school (in Newcastle) who has been allowed to identify as a wolf and her story was almost identical to that one.
The cat one was half-true though. Some US schools do have buckets of litter in classrooms. But they’re for scared children to piss into when they’re barricaded in hiding from a school shooting (according to the Jon Ronson interview with the person who put them there I listened to anyway)

This one turned out to be partially true too.

Gillian Anderson was a wolf in Princess Mononoke and it didn't do her any harm

Anyway, it’s hard for me to describe just how angry I am about this whole imaginary wolf thing.
Gosh I’m furious.

The US is just fucking weird.

Already posted about this in the UK Politics thread but just adding the woke take on it here:
