I favour the slinky Netrunner all in one jobs.

Jeans and white t-shirt. Really
Punk jeans.
Between the purple mohawk, the tatts, the cyberware, the leather jacket, and the aviator glasses, I needed something a bit less gaudy!

I've just been constantly rocking Johnny's jackets, shades and leather trousers and V's original starting top and trainers. Sometimes I wear some knee length boots. She looks so fucking cool.

In terms of optional stuff I could still do if I felt so inclined:
- I haven't bothered with Claire's quests, because they all seem to involve racing. - Ditto with the Beat on the Brat fights, as I can't handle first-person melee combat. - Likewise for the Epistrophy (spelling?) quests for Delamain, of which I have at least half a dozen in my journal.
Not including random gigs and cyberpsycho missions, I think that's pretty much it - are any of the above worth doing before I press on towards the closing credits?

Maybe the Delamain quests. The other two aren’t really worth it, especially Claire’s if you hate how the cars handle in this game (they’re bad).

Spooky! Great to see you, dude.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the driving mechanics in Cyberpunk at all, hence my lack of interest in the racing quests.
I'll do a couple of the Delamain missions and see how I find 'em. Thanks for the tip.

The actual tracking down of the Delamain cars is nothing special, although it’s kiiiiiinda fun hearing the different personalities of the Delamain limos. It’s when you get them all and get a (not very long tbf) quest that it kind of pays off. Kind of.

Depending on how you do Claire's quest, there's a really good scene (and a really awkward car ride home after). There's also a pretty cool truck in it for you
I don't mind the cars at all - the races are all easy anyway, especially if you can hack vehicles
Delamain missions are fun, if only to have an AI tell you you're a cunt
Beat on the Brat is nothing special but you can get a sweet ride and the O'Five sniper rifle, which is ace

Yeah, I thought the races themselves were kinda fun, but the driving is still terrible which can make them frustrating when you get bumped and made barrelroll onto a cliff. The story was not great though especially when you hear both sides and remember that they're deathraces. Her husband died under the accepted rules of the races. Also if you play your cards right, you get an additional car, not just the truck. I couldn't remember the rewards for Beat on the Brat so it felt kind of pointless. The latter few fights seem impossible unless you get the Gorilla Arms modification, which is annoying if you were specced for the spider arms or trip wire.

Yeah, I don't think Claire is right and on this (second) playthrough, I just went ahead and won the race. I just like the feint before she shoots him (if you try and talk her down). When she talks about being numb to it after, defnitely felt like we'd done a bad thing. How do you get another vehicle? I like me some cars
I don't know if you can buy O'Five in Dogtown since you don't technically miss it if you don't take the quest in the first place. Really cool gun though

On a more general note, I'm happy to see how much you first-timers are enjoying this game. I absolutely loved it when it launched. I have to say though, I don't know how much it holds up on repeated playthroughs. I've played through it twice, first as a Street Kid, then as a Nomad. Tried to do a third as a Corpo and all of its seams are showing. The story is excellent the first time you play it, but by the second it loses its impact, and by the third it's just.. there. But more importantly, the game mechanics, the awful map layout, driving mechanics, GPS tracking, simplistic combat all rear their heads. Also I'm pretty sure every major update CDPR makes the game worse from a functionality perspective. The retooling of the skill trees and body mods make the game more confusing and a lot harder to spec in a particular playstyle. I also hate that every time CDPR releases a big update, they completely undo your skill tree and force you to invest 50 or so points in a new tree with more vague skills and descriptions, rather than adapting your old skills onto the new one. They did the same with Witcher 3, and it was annoying then too.
Over the years, this went from my GOTY 2020, to a very solid C title for me.

I honestly don't mind the driving now, I actually like it. It's not Forza or something but calling it terrible just feels hyperbolic.

Wow, I've never read a post on here I've disagreed with more. Particularly regarding the retooling of the skills tree, I thought the OG trees were hot garbage, and find the new system very intuitive. Game mechanics are great. I'm on my third play through since 2.0 now and I'm loving it, a lot. Played it not quite at release, but certainly a few months later, and thought it was solid but flawed, like a decent B. It's now legitimately one of my top 5 games of all time now, and certainly my favourite game of the just last few years.

I like me some cars I don't remember the exact specifics for the second car, but it's dialogue-related. Not just talking her out of it, but maybe being more ambivalent in your responses. You get the dude's car too. Was disappointing that you get nothing for winning the race though.

I'm enjoying my second playthrough just as much as the first. My first was post Phantom Liberty but before the most recent big update, so I have no reference for the game before that I'm much more of an action RPG person so the gameplay really suits me - it's more immersive sim than RPG; FPS++ I went Corpo first time and Street Kid for this second playthrough. It's actually made quite a difference to how I'm playing it, even if in some cases in a role playing way (my reasoning for why V does this or that or how they go about doing it). I can feel myself naturally picking a different ending this time as well (went Panam first time and was happy with it) Love the game

Or a very similar one anyway

The different endings were cool, I agree there.
I still enjoy the Eidos Montreal Deus Ex entries more from a gameplay and cyberpunk/transhumanism narrative perspective. The scale here is grander, and the story is more willing to get weird, but like I said, it just loses its strengths and impact on revisits. If the game played better, it might've been easier to overlook for me.

The dialogue between V and Johnny during the mission where you follow Pepe's wife is brilliant

Aw, bless - River sent me a message after we had dinner at his sister's place!
I tried to be all, like, "New holo. Who dis?", but the game wouldn't let me.

I ended up shooting Reed in the head and putting So Mi on the shuttle. Really didn't want to kill Reed, despite our differences, but I couldn't bring myself to let him take Songbird (even though she'd been less than forthright with me from the start - the poor girl was just wrecked, and in that moment I genuinely wanted to save her).

Re the decedent, Reed was a really interesting character. On the one hand, he was a company man through and through, kept his cards close to his chest, and always seemed to be looking out for himself first and foremost; on the other hand, he was Idris Elba (in other words, handsome, charismatic, and chock-full of gravitas). I gladly toasted his memory with Alex, and really did feel conflicted about killing him, but I still reckon I made the right call when all is said and done.

Didn't really like Reed and popping him in the head wasn't the hardest decision I've ever had to make. He always seemed proper shady and I got sick of him telling me to grow up every 5 minutes. Not sure I believed he really cared about So Mi either
