Updates for both cyberpunk AND Phantom Liberty, about 5gb and 14gb respectively (on PS5).

One thing I don't like about this verses w3 is most of the RPG elements aren't needed to succeed. I can generally quick hack or just head shot through every encounter. In the w3 on hard you had to prep potions, use the correct gear, actually check which armours you had for a battle etc. In 2077 I pretty much ignore nearly all the specs on items as it's just not needed.

I’ve found quick hacks are nerfed to hell in 2.0, which had forced me to take my weapons out and shoot at people, like a peasant.
I’m going to go in the record that I never really fucked around with potion, weapon or armour changes (other than to upgrade) in Witcher 3. Just had healing and damage boost quickslotted and killed everyone.

Same here - with very few exceptions, I didn't use potions at all. I upgraded my swords every now and again, mainly when I looted a 'better' one (i.e. one that dealt more damage), and I upgraded my armour sporadically along the same lines.
Maybe it's different at higher difficulty settings, but playing on normal, I got by without these RPG mechanics just fine.

I can play in Dogtown with Path tracing on now. Massive performance kick with the patch.

2.0 doesn't seem much different to me. I can still kill everything without too much use of guns. I'm max intelligence and have mostly legendary hacks with a legendary chip where when I run out of ram I can just press RB+lb and get all the ram back.

Well that’s my main problem, running out of ram. They also removed the perk where everything is contagious, so I can no longer just kill everyone by pointing at them. I really enjoyed playing that way. But it’s also really easy to just headshot everyone too.

Spreading quick hacks is still there, it’s just been shifted to cyber decks and overclock.

Can't say I ever needed to use potions or worry to much about armour/weapons in W3. Bigger number = better.
Combat for me was mostly enabling the Quen and then wading in. Think this was on the third difficulty, although not certain.
Played up to the titles now (which took 6 hours!) and the interlude right after. Enjoying this quite a bit. Not sure how bothered I'm going to be with engaging with the open world aspect, but the main missions have been pretty good so far. The biochip heist sequence was really great.
Do hope I can get hold of the gun you use during the interlude. That weapon was tasty. The other guns have felt a bit like pea shooters so far.

There is a really nice iconic Katana and matching knife you can get from the first heist. Only just replaced it at level 50 with reward for doing all the side gigs for Wakako.

So start a new game for the DLC or just carry on from my last save (which was bloody ages ago). I can't even remember how to play.

Start new. Pretty much every system has changed. Talent trees make sense and the crafting isn't so confusing.

The only RPG I’ve ever needed to do pre battle prep and buffing is the Pathfinder games out of necessity, other than that I just Leeroy Jenkins the fuck out of them, and it hasn’t steered me wrong yet.

I'm really hoping that the physical current-gen edition won't be too far off now.

As Aubergine said, it's gonna include the DLC, so I reckon the RRP won't be far off the cost of buying them separately.

Playing the Heist mission, and noticed you can turn on the sprinkler in the terrarium in your hotel room. Could we always do that? Never realised before.

Did you get the new ending or did you segue back to the main storyline?

I just watched another ending and wow just the one I got and the one I watched were so different. Both ending sections were excellent.

Did you get the new ending or did you segue back to the main storyline? I've seen all the endings now including the "new" one. I think all of them are good but I liked the ending I got.

Jeez the ps5/series X versions are pretty ugly Vs the max pc settings. Just seen it running it's all its glory, so stunning.
