I think there were meant to be guys I was supposed to fight. They were so scared their clothes must have flown off as they ran away.
I also got hit by a car while riding my motorcycle, and I flew and spinned who knows how many hundreds of feet in the air... then just landed back safely.

So it's finally the game it should have been at launch.

At around 3:00 it looks like they're walking through NPCs, is that normal?

Fired this up on ps5 last night. Is there any way to increase the size of the HUD/on screen messages?
I've increased text size but the above seem unaffected. Quite annoying and has put me off playing

I was quite tempted to pick up a console copy but apparently you can't transfer a save from PC to console, only the other way.

I’ve gotten right back into this after leaving my 1.5 playthrough be for months. I think the combat is garbage, but I think the combat is garbage in everything except turn-based RPGs. It just all looks so amazing though and the writing and activities so enjoyable. There’s also plenty to do that I missed when I first played it. Just stumbled across one Dexter Deshawn. Nice gun you’ve got there.

Got the game in release but my overclocked cpu caused issue resulting in very low fps. Didn't know that at the time so refunded.
Got it yesterday again. Quiet excited to finally play it!
Any recommendations for mods on first and probably only playthrough?
Was thinking about fsr2.1 mod but since official support is coming i might skip it.

I completed it recently but went back to mop up side quests and get a better ending. Ended up spending another 15 hours with it and the whole end mission was significantly different, and I'm much happier with the ending I got!
I'm really reluctant to stop playing, as I absolutely love the world and characters - and after 65+ hours I still find Night City totally awe-inspiring.
50% of on Steam so I'm very tempted to get it and mess around with mods/steam deck, especially given I can easily port over my saves.

Any recommendations for mods on first and probably only playthrough?
A lot of mods aren't currently updated to work with patch 1.6, but here's a few that are and others that work real good despite being older:
Required in order to make most other mods work.
Simple MenuA companion piece to C.E.T.
Improved vehicle handling.
During character creator, your character will move around a lot to the point where it can be an annoyance, for example, raising their hand to their mouth while you're customising their teeth or jaw. This disables most but not all of the idle animations.
Stop that, V:
Replaces Male V's complexions and tries to restore his E3 2019 appearance, all in 4K.
Replacer for Female V complexions and body texture in 4K.
Texture replacer for environments, most to 4K and some up to 8K.
Faster Iguana HatchReduces the hatching time of an iguana egg you can pick up from 90 days of in-game time to a choice of lower values. Phantom Mod Crafting RecipeAdds the crafting spec for a weapon mod that was lootable within game but not craftable the way every other one is.
Adds a hotkey to enable use of the new time-skip when sleeping widget that was added in 1.6 wherever/whenever you like.
Adds a fully useable Metro System, with 19 explorable stations, third / first person view and much more
Add anything from a list of over 900 clothing items directly to your inventory. No visual preview, so you may have to refer to a site like www.cyberpunk404.net/ for images. Upgrade your clothing of choice to a different rarity.
Incidentally, I use Vortex to install most mods for Cyberpunk. There are other methods, but I find that the easiest way. Some do have to be installed directly by you though, so be careful to read the installation instructions on each one.
The good thing about Vortex is you can clone a games' profile and allow that profile to have its' own settings and saves. What I usually do for most games is keep the default profile unmodded, then use a copy of that to test out mod compatibility, and if something cocks up I can start with a fresh clone of the default.

Can't believe I forgot The Edgerunner Bazaar mod. That'll need an update for the items that were added by 1.6, but it's still good.

Do the trigger haptics on the DualSense make this worth getting on the PS5 instead of the Series X if I have the choice?

I thought the PS5 version supposedly ran fractionally better than XSX, but I suspect it’s mostly unnoticeable. Go with whichever platform and controller you prefer I guess.

DF said in the recent video that yeah the Ps5 has a more stable frame rate but XSX has a higher dynamic resolution but really it's nothing noticeable on both counts.

I didn't really like that resistance tbh, the gear shifting was cool for about 5 minutes but it felt uncomfortable to drive after a while.

So what's the verdict here? Is the game worth £25 on PC? I've only got a pretty average gaming laptop. Will it run even?

Another mod recommendation:
Someone took what appears to be the cat model from Stray and a bunch of it's recolour mods and ported it to CP as a replacer for that abomination of a cat you can adopt.

I've played this a bit now. Yeah, seems cool, very nostalgic vibes to playing the tabletop RPG. But it feels a bit janky. Something slightly off about the guns and combat. And there's that thing that modern RPGs love to do where it feels like you're under a time pressure all the time but then throw 58 billion side missions at you.

I have it on Series X and it still feels a bit choppy to me (my eyes currently used to Odyssey and Project Cars 2). The game it most reminds me of in terms of performance is the Arma preview. They were both £25 so fair enough I suppose.

Okay, after a fair bit of game time. This game has the best world building out of any game I've come across. The tribes feel distinct and vistas are beautiful.
The story feels pretty good but very linear. I was hoping it would allow you to make choices but doesn't seem that way, really. I'm worried it'll hurt replayability in a major way.
Then the not so great stuff. Combat feels wonky. The UI bugs out regularly. Weird key binds that can't be reconfigured. The world is full of people but they're just set dressing. I get odd micro stutters. Sometimes missions don't register as completed. Just weird little stuff.
Luckily a lot of it isn't game breaking but just an inconvenience. Maybe even a bit thematic, considering the main plot.
I'm not sure if there's any paid DLC for the game but I think with the way the city has been fleshed out, it would really benefit from "half game" DLCs: new main story but same supporting cast. I'd buy a new 10-15 hour story set in the same world for £25, basically.

Fair point, albeit I'm of the mind that I kind of prefer linearity in games like this - I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on much by sticking to one playthrough (at the bare minimum I'll miss out on something regardless because I'm haven't got the time to be a completionist I used to be who'd complete all side quests etc).

Yeah, fair. I just miss that aspect from older PC RPGs like Morrowind: you couldn't join every faction and do every story path in one play through. It gave a reason to go back to do a different character - and that's what I really enjoy about RPGs, playing a different character, different play style and different story.
It all changed with Oblivion, when you could be master wizard, master assassin, master thief, master fighter. It just seems silly to me. "Muh immersion!"
It's what I feel like separated video games from films or books, you can do stuff that no other player might necessarily do. I want to have freedom. I want to fuck myself over by being able to shoot Goro in the face when I get the chance. In Morrowind you got a popup saying the strands of fate are broken but you could still finish the game usually. That was epic.

Mild spoilers but there are some choices later that do affect the ending, they tend to be very compartmentalized and specific though, nothing as grand as a path that winds through the whole game. More Mass Effect 3 than Morrowind.
