I tried performance once saw it was visibly worse than RT and never went back, I'm just a massive graphics whore. I'm not even going to contemplate the performance mode of Horizon.

60fps is the way to go for me. That's how I played the PS4 version on PS5 at launch, and it's hard to go back to 30fps for this game.
I did play a bit at 30fps last night and it's fine. The frame pacing is better than a lot of games so my eyes did adjust after 10 minutes or so, but the moment I switch back to performance mode, it just feels so much smoother.

I did a lot of flicking between the two at the start and decided I couldn’t really see a much of a difference between the two, so settled on performance which I think looks pretty great.

Started the trial on Xbox Series S so only 30fps available. Looks nice enough I guess, but after playing 60fps-modes in Forza 5 and Halo Infinite, it almost makes my eyes bleed out. I'll give it one more go this evening...

Look Richard, you'll just have to take me word for it when I said great console it was because of the reaction to me saying something mildly less than amazing about it yesterday rather tha "lol you're playing at 30fps". I realise it means a lot to you though so I'll keep quiet moving forward.

No feelings hurt over here. Point I was trying to make is that it's not the kind of game (first person POV) that I would enjoy playing at a locked 30fps.
The console itself suits me fine. (Elden Ring better run at least @ 40fps though...)

Try it with the controller settings I posted a couple of pages back, it's helps quite a bit with the laggy controls at 30.

I became stuck because the last part of the tutorial wasnt registering my dodges, so couldn’t progress nor exit from the tutorial.

Tried a bit of this update on pc last night. Still looks ace, having to respec having not played for over a year was a pita. I just unlocked everything in hacking and breaching as I couldn't be arsed to re-read everything
Looks a bit nice in ultrawide though 0_0

Got very crashy for me on PC since 1.5. Used to get the occasional crash but now it's frequent enough it's put me off investing any time in it.

Anyone got the PC version on GOG, incidentally? The 1.5 patch was a 50gb update a few days ago; this morning GOG is now trying to download a 62gb (!!!) update. Presumably a UI error, I'm guessing? If they seriously think I'm downloading another 62gb, basically a day later, then the game is finally just getting binned.

Started playing this last night on PS5 with no previous experience of playing it before, and no experience of the table top game, so essentially with zero baggage.
So far I’m having an extremely good time with it. It looks fantastic and the game world seems super detailed and believable. Done a few missions and found those very enjoyable. It’s quite clunky in the same way all FPRPGS are (Skyrim, Fallout etc) and the combat is shit again like all those games, but overall it’s been excellent.

Seems there's a small 10 GB fix to sort out minor audio issues on Steam but GOG users have to download the full patch and fix again😢
