So essentially a police officer let his emotions get the best of him and assaulted someone to the point that it could have caused severe trauma.
He's not fit for purpose and should be fired.

The guy who got kicked in the face acted like a complete cunt during the confrontation, no doubt about it; still, he was lying prone on the ground at the time the cop lashed out, and the extended footage does nothing to change that fact.

From the footage, it looks like the guy was shot with a taser, the way he fell to the ground. So no need for the follow up kick. The other officers who were also punched didn't react that way.
Hope all who committed a crime in that scenario get published.

Looks to me like the bloke in question was using a ticket machine and gets roughly grabbed from behind by the coppers and without knowing who they are lash out to defend themselves. And then all the rest happens. If they’d have given him the chance to turn would the rest have happened?

Yeah I've swung the other way with this, the officer is still getting sacked because he can't justify the use of force. However it was straight after being attacked quite badly. They're all firearms officers as well so would have been worried guns could have been taken off them etc.
Just a complete cluster fuck.

nah, use of force to effect arrest or subdue a dick head sure, but once they're contained you're held to a higher standard. i don't care what they did before, could be jimmy saville, doesn't matter, you kick someone in the head with that force, there's a damn good chance you kill them, police are held to a higher standard, if they're not happy being held to a higher standard that's fine, policing's not the job for you

2 of the 3 coppers were utterly useless and one used excessive force after being punched in the face multiple times and then punched in the back of the head multiple times. He had zero back up from his useless colleagues. The guy who put in the first ten punches knew just to sit down chill and put his hands behind his head. Chill and didn’t even react when his bro was getting kicked in the head.
I’m not sure how many of you have been punched in the head from the front and back before but everyone is acting like they also probably wouldn’t loose their shit over it. Cops get training but training doesn’t equal the actual situation of getting smashed in the face from two people whilst your colleagues are on the floor not helping.

Yeah I've been punched plenty of times and never found the need to stamp on someone's head when they have been on the floor. Even when full of adrenaline I know enough to not potentially get myself done for murder because I'm not a fucking idiot.

If you stamp on the back of someones head in boots there is a decent chance you will kill them or cause severe brain damage. It's a hard surface and there is nowhere for the head to move so it's not like getting punched. I didnt say he tried to murder him did I?
Normally comes with a couple of years prison term as well

Doesn't matter what is more common, it's excessive force. The fight ended when they guy was lying face down on the floor, anything else is afters. Same as when he ran afterwards to someone with their hands on their head and kicked them and pistol whipped them with the taser.
Should and hopefully will get sacked.

The "fight" (the gang assault on male and female officers) started again when yer man reached for the restraining officers gun.
Maybe more people knowing you'll get a swift boot to the dish if you assault British police officers might not be a bad thing?
