notesfrompoland.com/2024/02/08/polish-mint-creates-worlds-first-flying-coin/Just something really silly but I do want one! I've never actually 'bought' a movie on a digital service, as I've never been that confident how long I'd have access to it. (the fact I'm overseas and often using services in other countries makes that more risky of course). Subscriptions, yes. Digital rentals, yes. But if I actually buy it then I've stuck to physical. Not for games of course I did also buy a couple of very cheap albums on Google Play Music before they shut that down. I'm not really sure if I still have access to those on youtube or something, but given that I can get any album on spotify I haven't really missed them. I bought stuff on iTunes but given how difficult it is to use it on pc or Android i consider those items lost. Babylon 5 two seasons and Episodes season 1.

Don't start. Leicester has that shadow over it. Just make like his namesake and have the cunt fall onto some pitchforks, repeatedly.

Här exploderar rutschkanan indeed. Out of all the rutschkanan I've seen, that is the most exploderar.

The Body Shop is pretty big internationally and operates in a lot of countries. I wonder how connected the UK business is to the other countries, and whether the entire thing is in trouble or just the UK.

Separate companies.
Same principle as when Toys R Us and Blockbuster went bump

Much like with Game, I could never understand why there were 2 or 3 in every high street. I always assume it's a tax dodge (although could be the same as Game where they had leases they couldn't get out of)

- It's FRP. They're pretty reputable. - Ex-employees will get statutory redundancy pay from the govt www.gov.uk/your-rights-if-your-employer-is-insolventAny additional amounts owed including holiday pay, PILON and the discrepancy between their full entitlement and what the govt pay out goes into the pot. Ex-employees are preferential creditors, so get paid after the IP's fees and secured creditors (i.e. the bank), but before creds like suppliers, the council, the phone bill and such. It's not all doom n' gloom for them, although much depends on whether anyone wants to take it on as a going concern. I think Lush have already denied any interest

Quite possibly every birthday once I was old enough to be buying gifts myself.

Yep, a safe bet for mum though not set foot in one for about 15 years I think, seem to recall they're prices seemed to go a bit silly at some point.

Nice to have a bit of positive news for a change. Greece Legalizes Same Sex Marriage. www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68310126Church not happy, but hopefully it'll go the way of most countries and after it happens it'll turn out not to lead to the downfall of families and become more of a non-issue.

Other gamesy news that I can kinda identify with: www.bbc.com/news/technology-68304967Switch having so many Nintendo exclusives slightly skews things for us, but the main games we've been playing over the past few years are Fortnite, Minecraft, etc.. and it's really nice to be able to pick up whatever device isn't in use and carry on. When I can't do that I really miss it. "I want to play PoP but it's on the console and someone's using it, I'll just carry on on the PC... wait, I forgot I can't! Why?!' Be interesting whether the big firms embrace it, or push back against it.

Don't Ubisoft games do cross save now? Thought they'd started doing that around Valhalla.
Of course you need to buy it twice to fit in with your example, which is a bit shit.

Don't know, but there are quite a few cheaper switch games that I already have on Steam and it wouldn't be a big outlay to buy again.
Of the top of my head I have Rayman Legends, Doom, Quake, Portal1+2 etc.. Though I doubt many of those have crosssaves.
Maybe it's more likely for games with significant online presence, like Fortnite and Minecraft.
I can dream..

Christ. With anything like that I just say "ok I'm going to hang up and call back the central branch" or contact your bank.
