Yeah the script i saw online was poor and had Batman being killed off. We must have read different ones, which suggests something's bollocks about the whole thing (or just different drafts, I guess). The one I was was really heavy on DC lore, like a very dense mini series trading on continuity. It ended with a Crisis-style death of the Flash and Wally taking up the mantle. None of it jibed with the very young cast, however, which is one of the things that always me me suspicious. |

I just remember a couple pitches/scripts for different films and thinking it would have been a mess. Maybe the batman death is something else. |

I don't think Batman was meant to die, as far as I know they chose young people because they wanted them to age in the roles and release multiple films. Killing off probably the most famous of the group is something that probably wouldn't happen.

It was actually Batman and Lois’s son that would take over as Batman. The script notes were basically that Bats and Lois had a fling after Supes died, but her and Clark raise it as their son, Bats sacrifices himself to stop Darkseid via time travel and Justice League 3 ends with Lois taking Bats Jr to the Batcave.
Quite glad none of that ever happened.

They're being very vague. Gunn implied he didn't jettison Gal, but that still leaves room for
(a) she left,
(b) someone else jettisoned her,
(c) she's still technically in the role but they have no plans to use her, or
(d) they are planning to continue with her in the role.

Stop making them money. They've sunk so much into this so you're into sunk cost fallacy quite hard plus there's test screenings that are very positive. If it tanks hard mostly due to do with the star (which for the record I doubt will make that much of an effect despite the internet's protestations) then yeah he's out.
