That's fair but it's just weird considering how its usually reffed. That and offside is sometimes a thing today... Usually hate ref chat it's just weird though |

Over the years, I've invariably found myself rooting for Scotland (unless they were playing England, of course!), as they were the perennial plucky underdogs. Easy to like; easy to support as a neutral; never all that likely to win, nine times out of 10.
This hasn't been a perfect performance by any means, but I've gotta say, it's really nice to cheer on Scotland without that 'underdogs' tag in place. They're just a bloody good team.

They were not an easy team to like or support back then. I would say nowadays they're both a pleasure to watch and not that unlikely to win. Except South Africa and Ireland who are bogeymen. But record against France is like 50/50, not lost to England since 2020, I'd back em to beat Argentina, Australia etc. Unlikely to beat the best couple teams in the World. Though it's just our luck they're in our fucking pool. |

I feel for Aus a little bit, some insanely talented players out there, crazy stats in terms of metres made and territory, but because that villain from Thunderbirds is in charge (and he doesn't even want to be there apparently) their game plan is shunt, the selection is bonkers, and they leak penalties like your mum's knickers.

I'll have to take your word for that, as I haven't always been as keen to watch neutral games as I am these days.
I do think this is the best Scotland squad/coaching setup in my lifetime, though, and it's a real shame they've ended up in this particular pool.

It's a shame, I like a strong Australia, it doesn't feel special beating them when they're this crap. I'm guessing Jones is done for, hopefully the next coach can get them playing. This Australia is actually not dissimilar to Jones England towards the end. Just can't string it together.
