Farrell's disciplinary hearing will take place today.
From what I've seen online, plenty of England supporters will be happy if he gets a lengthy ban; the exception is Saracens fans, who want the Wales player to be charged with cynically headbutting Saint Owen's shoulder.
It seems as though the panel will be comprised mainly (entirely?) of Australians, so perhaps this will be treated with the appropriate degree of seriousness for a change - I'm sure an English panel would've been in favour of a complete acquittal.

In addition, Farrell's body position was always too upright, and he made no attempt to wrap his arm (as bloody usual), so he was never going to effect a legal tackle regardless of anything George may have done.

Exactly this - we saw the same thing a few seasons ago when he nearly decapitated Charlie Atkinson. An injury-ravaged Wasps side was running rings around Saracens at Allianz Park; frustration was writ large across Farrell's face; and his petulance got the better of him.
