Time to start another thread for this.
I recently started 3 and got full mastery on Dubai last night, great to be back creatively murdering as 47.
Now commence page after page of posts saying how the Colorado level sucks.

I'm sorry, I can't possibly keep that facade up. It's shiiiite.

I've not been back to H3 in months. Has there been some DLC?

They've been doing the 7 deadly sins or something. Sounds like just new challenges on the existing levels.

It's one of those games that, selfishly, I would be quite happy paying for new maps every few months. I can understand if they wanna put a cap in it for now and focus on the Bond licensed game instead. The 7 deadly sins challenges have nice ideas as escalations but I wouldnt come back to them to replay over and over. They seem to rely on featured contracts from the community quite heavily this time round, even tying in game rewards for completing up to 50 of them. I imagine this will be the rest of the post game content once the 7 Deadly Sins seasons are over

I'm fairly sure they said around release there wouldn't be any new maps for this one, which is a shame.
I managed to pick up the Hitman 2 DLC levels for 7 or 8 quid the other week though, so really must jump back into this as I haven't played them before.

I played this and the earlier ones all the way through at the start of the year. I think they’re the only games I’ve finished in about 5 years or more. I haven’t 100% done any of the levels but enjoyed at least trying to be stealthy as much as I could without getting frustrated.

I keep meaning to give more time to Hitman. I keep treating it like a game to dip in and out of, and it's not really that.
Any tips for getting the most out of it? I love all the different maps, but I inevitably end up going down the straightforward 'poison disguised as chef/janitor/waiter' route without having really thought about it. I guess it's just exploring and patience right?

Any tips for getting the most out of it? My tried and tested approach for starting each level is to do the mission stories for the first few goes to get accustomed to the map, then start going through the challenges for the more outlandish kills.

I like the idea of the game more than I like playing it.

Watch some of MrFreeze's videos to get some ideas on different ways to complete levels. Plus, consider the safe zones and best disguises. Once you've worked out how to get a good disguise you can usually wander around and try stuff out. Also, go for some 'kill everyone' action!

The mission stories are definitely the best first port of call for each mission from my experience.

They are but then it just feels like your being handheld around the place. I'm also someone who likes the idea of the games more than actually playing them. I'm playing on VR at the minute and even then I'm finding them kind of dull.

Yeah I totally get that. It does feel slightly cheaty but I've come to the conclusion I'd prefer to play a little more stylish and on rails at first than the Benny Hill bullshit I used to get myself into in the older games on a lot of my first playthroughs.

Great series.
Would really like it if they bought back some of the levels from the earlier games back upgraded with the current engine.

For playthroughs I tend to hit up mission stories at first while also being flexible enough to role with the punches if I mess up. Some of my favourite kills have come about from messing up and having to deal with the consequences. Challenges your knowledge of the map to adapt and escape a bad situation.

Really delighted to see they're continuing to support the game, I thought for sure all hands would be on deck for the James Bond game. I hope it means new maps and not just remixed existing maps like The Icon or House on Sand.

Would still like them to remake some of the missions from SA and Contracts

Nice. I never bought the 7 Deadly Sins DLC, but I'm up for new stages.

Just bought it in the sale. Loving Dartmoor as much as people claim to.
Few ‘respectable’ journalists/podcasters put this as their GOTY, mainly for that level.

Berlin stage is so good. So much hype for Dartmoor, and I get it. It has one of the funnest narratives, alongside Mumbai in H2. But having to actually find the enemy agents in the underground nightclub with no clues is exciting.
