What makes the Elite controller worth £100 more than the standard one?

Their high failure rate seems to leave a bad taste in the mouth though.

Their high failure rate seems to leave a bad taste in the mouth though. Mine lasted about a year before the rubber started coming off.

You're meant to switch rubbers after every use.

Especially when you have extra greasy fingers like baihu.

IME a failed rubber always leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Seriously though, these things are nearly $300. Even if it's bulletproof that seems expensive.

I don't even know what paddles are, so I probably don't need them

Paddles are the unnecessary buttons on the back of the controller that require you to break years of muscle memory just so you can press the A button without taking your thumb off the stick.

Amazon quite often have ‘like new’ 2nd hand ones, presumably where people have paid full whack and realised they’re not worth it. I paid £70 for one a couple of years ago. Still going strong.
Fuck paying full price though, they’re not that special

That's where I got mine, although it was clearly returned as faulty as it kept randomly powering off. MS warranty was still valid though so I got a new one which has been rock solid.

My RB is really unresponsive. They’re a great pad at half the price. Not durable enough for a console life cycle IMO

True achievements website? The Xbox dashboard tells you how long you have played games. I haven't played anywhere near as much as normal in 2023 so by far the most played is hunt showdown at about 200 hours I think. 2023 was generally me trying a game and being bored and deleting it after 30-60 minutes. Tears of the kingdom was most hyped game and that got maybe 10 hours out of me before I hated it.

Yeah, it's that time of year when TA start spamming you with infographics. I expect that will be the first of many they send me.

3 months ago. It's only an average of 5.5 hours a day, which seems about right.

So you can't watch 4k discs without an Internet connection? Just moved so no WiFi and now none of them work.

Seems a bit odd. Use your mobile as a temp hotspot. I can't imagine it needs to use much in the way of data.

Unsurprising (Starfield comes second with around 250 hours)

Only 49% completion, though... I think you need to play it a bit more.

I haven’t played Stardew Valley since March(?), but it was a 100% run, so it probably took 60 - 70 hours.
