How is this allowed on the console anyways? Surely it's illegal? If I have to go to prison to play Jet Set Radio Future again then so be it

Is Live being a being a bit of dick for everyone else? Keep getting a network error message if I try to load anything.

I could not restart my Series X earlier. That was weird. Turning it off by the actual console sorted it out though It is ironic that restarting it fixed it
Also, as someone with atrocious internet speeds, I fucking haaaate that you can't play a game once it has started downloading an update. It means I am not playing that game now

Has anyone got any experience with the Wreckfest Series X upgrade?
Cost monies and I've read online that it actually lowers performance. Has it been patched?

I'm not sure about the performance but there wasn't anyone playing online as there's no cross play with PS5/PC/PS4/XB1 players.

I was only interested in it for the visual upgrade but I can't find anything about them fixing the framerate so I think I'll stick with the normal version. Still looks nice as it is, even if I won't get to enjoy the thrill of my car getting a bit dirty

Never happening but I'd love a sequel to Stacking.

Took delivery of a new sealed official xbox 360 controller today. Haven't opened it yet. Place your bets now - do the batteries still work?

Does anyone know of a game that offers a similarly 'arcadey' style of hunting like in RDR2? I like the 'kinda serious but not at all sim-ish' hunting in it but don't want to play hours and hours of story. I tried Hunter call of the wild and it was a bit too much.

Anyone had problems with the VLC app for Xbox? It always worked fine for me on my Xbox One, but recently we installed it on my missus' Series X and a few times now it'll get a certain way into playing a video file before the screen goes black, audio remains, but all we can do is exit the app.

Hope someone can help but I’m guessing I have to download the X/S optimised version
Can I download an Xbox One version of Destiny 2 onto an external version that’s connected to a Series S and play it or will I have to install it to the internal SSD and play it that way?
Thing is the game is about 100gb and my sons Series S is full, I just want the chance to play it in the living room once in a while.

Not actually sure. If it was the series S version on the external drive, then yeah it'd have to be moved to the internal before you can launch it. If it's the One version then potentially you can just launch it from the external, but it might force you to update before you can launch it. (and that update would be the S version of course, so you'd be screwed)

You can play it off an external HD but unless it's the official one it won't be S/X enhanced.

It's a smart delivery game, and an online one at that, so it'll force the upgrade regardless I would imagine, don't think there's a way around it.
If it was an offline game and you could grab the Xbox One install from an older console then you could probably manage it by disconnecting from the internet. But it's not, so you're buggered basically.

You have to pick the upgrade and can still play without it.

Definitely can't play without the upgrade to my knowledge, regardless of where the install is running from. I had similar issues trying to run the One X version of Elden Ring on a Series X.
The MS site FAQ on Smart Delivery even says:
"Note: If a game requires an upgrade, you won't be able to keep playing the game online until you take the update, but you can go offline and, if supported, play the game locally."
Destiny 2 is online only obviously, so you're scuppered either way trying to run the Xbox One version on a Series console, regardless of where the install is.
Obviously you can run the Series version from the official expansion card mind you.

Cheers. Bit of a bummer when you can play the Ps4 of a game on the Ps 5 if you want to.

Yeah, I'm all for smart delivery, but I do wish we could still choose the original Xbox One version if we want.
