quadfather that's really good dude, really nice. And the mix/master/whatever is great, sounds very professional. Kudos! (It only plays as far as 5:08 for me though, weirdly, both times I've tried.)

Yeah just so you know I'm not easily impressed. That is bloody brilliant. I'd be interested to hear a different mix with the bass and drums louder if you ever do a remix. I don't know if it would be any better, would just be interesting to hear |

Hah, yes, in the title it's demo 9. It's taken that many level/masterings to get it how we want it.
I've probably got an earlier version that has louder bass and drums, but we toned them down just a tad to let the synth breathe and cut through a bit more. But you know what it's like, you have to draw the line in the sand at some point!

I get access denied if I click those links, I'm afraid. I bent and bought the Fender Mustang Micro, so that I can play the new guitar downstairs sometimes (otherwise, I spend all day, then all night in my office... not ideal). Quite like it so far, although I would have quite liked a single clean tone amongst the reverbs and distortion effects. I'm sure there is one and I just need to work out how to find it.  |

There are several clean tones! Just use that quick reference card it comes with. I think if all the lights are white, that's about as clean as it gets.

I thought there would be. I was going by the card saying that white + white (for example) is: Amp: '65 Twin + Compressor Effect: Large Hall Reverb And it does seem quite (very) reverby. I just want it without the reverb. e2a: Just looking at p6 of this and it looks like I maybe need to set the Modify setting to -2, to bypass the effect. |

Tbh, the only things I've really used so far are the different amp types. I've just noticed that some of the default reverbs on those first four clean settings are really echoey - not helped by it being fed through headphones. I haven't tried tuning the effects themselves, yet. I'll have another play later on. |

I have to be honest, I spent years using very loud punk to blank out memories of all the prog I was surrounded by at school. Not the vocals, but the track itself could almost be Ozric Tentacles. If that's not too insulting. With a bit of Soft Machine (guitar, drums) and maybe some Hawkwind in there? But with more modern, layered vocals. e2a: something like... |

It turns out that the headphones one uses make a massive difference. BOSE QC35s, fantastic for music, games etc but echoey as all hell with the Mustang Micro. My £20 Roland studio monitor headphones are MUCH better. No echoey nastiness, cleans sound clean, fuzz sounds fuzzy, reverb reverberates. Problem solved. 😁 |

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah I've got a pretty neutral set of headphones and I don't hear much reverb at all on those settings.
