How does Hawkeye and co know which arrow he is pulling out of the quiver. No spoilers but even then my question is not answered. Has this been covered in lore? They did show Kate Bishop labelling them up and asking Hawkeye what they are, implication is that he is recognising them as they look different enough

Yeah that was the scene that made me ask the question. Thinking what was the actual point of that beyond a learning curve for Kate.

They had different shaped arrowheads, right? She could figure it that way. The labels being merely to help her understand during the arrow making montage what each arrow type does.

Didnt Avengers literally show that he has a button on his bow that rotates the arrows in the quiver to the one he wants?

Didnt Avengers literally show that he has a button on his bow that rotates the arrows in the quiver to the one he wants? Yeah I mentioned it a few posts back - thus the real question is how Kate does it. It's just one of those things you go with, I guess, it's not like we know exactly how Pym particles work (really not a hole worth going down btw lol - it doesn't end up anywhere the makes sense) or the details of Iron Man's suit. I daresay if there's a Hawkeye S2 (and I rather hope there is, though man Steinfeld seems like she's pretty busy, work-wise!), she'll have the same as Clint.

Posted in the right place this time.
McCartney 3,2,1 is worth a watch if you enjoyed Get Back. Paul pisses about on piano and reminisces about the good old days. I know it's all about the music and whatnot, but I'm not sure exactly what Rick Rubin brings to the table, mostly he justs nods in agreement with whatever Paul says and blows a lot of smoke up his arse.

Fresh
A horror film from Searchlight on Disney+ Star.
Starts off humourous and light-hearted.
Gets real dark, dicey and sick.
No actors that I recognised but they are really good and do a good job.
Better than most made for TV films. Worth a watch if being sick in your mouth a little is your thing.
7.9/10

Speaking of which, Pam and Tommy is pretty good. I was aware the tape existed but had no idea about all the shit surrounding it.

Moon Knight
I mean, it's kind of a mess, but I'm enjoying, because it's kind of nuts. Oscar's accent is absolutely terrible, but just like Gywneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, over time you get used to it, and it is at least consistent, not coming and going. It's almost a one-man show with him, the only other person with a significant role is Ethan Hawke, and he's not in it a whole lot.
It's portrayal of London is so determinedly London-y yet so wildly inaccurate that I feel like for a Londoner it counts as gaslighting. The highlights for me were:
1) Steve goes into Tottenham Court Road tube station to travel to the British Museum... but it's the closest tube station... you can only get further away... why? Why pick that tube station of all tube stations?
2) Steve exits the British Museum into Trafalgar square? Really? REALLY? I literally had to go back and check I wasn't hallucinating this. But no, some American elaborately composited some shots together so he could exit the British Museum to a location literally a mile away. Just screams that one of the writers managed to mix up his holiday memories of the National Gallery with those of the British Museum.
There's loads more but I'm sparing you. So much more. Even the way he runs to catch the bus is something no Londoner would ever do. I'm kind of hoping it's massive trolling from New Yorkers (the director is a New York resident) so we know how they feel or something.
Leaving that London stuff aside, the show kinda works? Despite being a mess. And Ethan Hawke is fun if faintly nonplussed-seeming at times. Surprisingly bloody, I note.

It premiered at Sundance Jan 20th 2022, Searchlight Pictures acquired the worldwide distribution rights. It released on Hulu and Disney+ on 4th March and 18th March UK and Ireland. It wasn't made for TV but it doesn't seem to have had a release in theatres and went straight to streaming services.

Also, I often run for the bus, what's wrong with that. (In London).

We live right in the middle of where Vera is shot and last series someone left a club, got a ferry across the Tyne and was murdered on the other side of the river despite both the club and murder site being basically on the same street in real life. Wonky geography doesn’t bother me. Especially given Moonknight featured missing time/am I dreaming?! stuff

I think officially it's 14+ or something like that, I got 10 and a 12 so it'll be borderline. To be fair they did watch Deadpool and loved it, but after watching it I decided not to watch the sequels with them just yet. I had no idea.

You can get 12 month codes via Eneba for less than £50 at the moment, a Samsung offer getting taken advantage of by resellers apparently. Or for O2 members the 3 month free offer always seems to work (text "DISNEY3" to 21500).

Mmm, Moon Knight is surprisingly good! Oscar Isaac's accent is okay and the character is mostly played for laughs, so it's not jarring that his accent is a bit cheesy. Plus everyone British is laying on the Lahndahn accents really thick too, so it doesn't seem outlandish.
It's odd, because despite the comedy the schizophrenic episodes are genuinely quite scary, so it's a bizarre congruence of tone.
I enjoyed it, and I have a soft spot for the character as Moon Knight was one of my minor favourites as a kid.
