This season has been really good so far. New baddies are pretty scary too.

Yeah, it’s good. They have done Daryl being forced to join the baddies before, but Pope is an interesting character.
The next episode teaser suggested the return of the Whisperers, which I hope is a fake out as they have run their course.

Another good ep again, I'm glad they're going out on a high. Pope is like a mixture of prime Negan, The Governor and Alpha.
When it's all finished I'm going to read the comics.

I’m glad they didn’t go all in on Negan and Maggie making peace with each other. The episode teaser last week made it seem like they’d all be square and happy, and there was even some theories they’d even hook up, which would have been beyond awful. |

Yeah, I would have noped out if that theory comes into. And I'm a massive fan of Negan, named one of my dogs after him.
They seemed to have learnt from past mistakes this season. How many eps have they planned?

Well the World Beyond series ending just changed the franchise as a whole we now have strong fast moving zombies much like 28 days later etc expect to see more of them in the Rick movies?

I've finally got around to watching this. So after over a series of me going "why not make shields and form a shield wall" beginning of S10 they turn up. I'm now shouting at them that you can hold a shield and a spear at once and to stop breaking up to expose flanks.
It's like no history or strategy game nerds survive the apocalypse.

I started watching again, from s10 (I previously gave up after Negan's introduction).
I don't know who half of these people are, but it's fine. I guess I just want to know how it ends.

I'll kind of miss it. It was spinning it's wheels for the past 4 series, but it's been entertaining enough, and it's been one of the better post apocalyptic zombie survival shows.
It's nice to see it come to an 'end', even if it could only really go one way.

It was mostly solid. They fumbled now and then(The Gov especially) but it all went downhill once they had that guy in charge who clearly didn't care about the source material and was too busy randomly killing characters off to try and get shock TV.
Hard to recover really.

As a fan of the comics before the show aired and read them all, I found the ending very weak and more of a subtle advert for the spin offs. Problem was the early announcement of the spinoffs made any perceived danger of certain characters pointless as you knew they would be fine.
Bringing back the two background characters to then kill them off straight away was contrived and a way of the show highlighting "look we still can kill characters you know about" meanwhile every other character had plot armour as thick as a 90s yellow pages.
Why bother giving Darryl a comical black eye that looked like he fell into a Goth makeup set for the couple of scenes he was in. The "smart" zombies only turn up and smash Windows once all other characters were in the room. Funny how a shot Judith had the strength to close a door on multiple zombies then pass out for however long it took for the others to turn up when we've seen healthy adults struggle to close doors before without getting bit.
The comic final issues were much much better than what they churned out for TV.

Rosita jumping out from the zombie horde (with a baby tied to her, no less) was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in any series ever.
Glad it's over, like many I was hooked from the first season forward, but lost interest around 3th-4th season and persevered "just because". No interest in spin-offs.

Is it all on Disney+ now?
How essential are the spin-offs to understanding the main show?
If I pick up from where I was, Alexandria although I might have to go back to Terminus to refresh my memory, whats the going going to be like?
