May as well abandon full wets, it'd save money, if they're not going to use them.

Why are they doing a full hour start procedure? We don't need the anthems and all the grid nonsense. Just get the drivers out there and racing as fast as possible or don't start the 3 hour clock early. This time wasting nonsense that actually shortens the race is far worse than races naturally ending under the safety car every now and then. Seems I owe an apology. They haven't started the 3hr window. I'm ok with the delay then.

It's absolutely farcical these days. I'm all for safety but they've completely overdone the wet weather stuff. Doesn't help that Pirelli wets are useless.

Virtual surely, but we've just had an hour of dead time with a damp track ready to race on so totally on brand.

Going mediums was an interesting choice that seems to have gone badly wrong.

Quite amusing after the commentators praised his exceptional brake feel. In these conditions everyone makes mistakes.

Same old same old unfortunately. No one can pass a Red Bull in a straight line and Merc and McLaren can't pass anyone.

On a flat spot scale of 1-10 that front left of Perez must be 'Kimi Raikkonen - Nurburgring 2005' by now.

Hamilton being far too optimistic with that off the dry line attempt on Vettel.

Great drive from Perez, and to pull that gap at the end.

Who was that that said 10 second penalty? This may not be Perez's race after all.

Would be just the sort of nonsense we've come to associate with F1, so totally going to happen.

Other than several of the usually reliable F1 stars making relatively rare rookie mistakes, surely the main story of that race was the disparity between Charles and Carlos.
Sainz would have been a minute down on him without the safety cars and VSCs. Pretty embarrassing. Either that or Leclerc was exceptional.

Yeah, I do quite like the guy, but he does seem pretty pointless at Ferrari.

I'd put him in F1.1 along with the likes of Russell. Just missing that something extra but Leclerc was excellent yesterday though. Exactly the kind of race you kind of expect him to have a wobble in but he was flawless along with Perez. Both were in their own class yesterday.

I find it a bit difficult to truly praise Perez's race as we never really saw the ultimate potential of the RB in Max's hands. I got the sense that all else being equal he would probably have been his usual 0.5% or so off and wouldn't have kept Max honest. He certainly did a professional job though and avoided any costly mistakes (aside from almost throwing the win away by messing about behind the SC). However once in the lead, in a car with a straight line advantage that mostly negates DRS (after it was enabled), and possibly the fast package anyway, he really should have won.
Sainz on the other hand had a clear track and was often a second a lap slower than Leclerc who may have even been able to go even quicker on inters had he not got Perez in front. Perhaps he realised he couldn't beat Charles so just did enough to bank P3. Certainly a possibility as Carlos is no mug. Cruise and collect P3 with the engine turned down would explain it but if that was him really pushing, that's a concern.
