Leclerc did what Max should have done to avoid contact in the first chicane. Agreed. Bottas' fresh engine could be the deciding factor. |

Only concern is if his tyres last in 3 cars worth of dirty air. He's not great at managing them in race conditions.

The 5sec penalty rule at it's absolute worst. Bottas might as well straight line the chicanes into the lead and back himself to get 20sec on everyone else then.

This is where Hamilton truly comes into his own compared to Bottas. Clings onto a gearbox without killing the tyres better than just about anyone. Already looking like Bottas may have taken a bit too much out of the rubber here.

Come on Lando!!! Let's hope no Mclaren team orders, even though that would be totally understandable. Predictable but still disappointing. So unlucky for Lando, incredibly, it looks like Hamilton's bad start yesterday will cost Norris his first win. |

Danny will have won McLaren this race by not letting Max scamper away at the start, so it would have been the single most sour tasting implementation of team orders in the history of F1.

I'm not suggesting Mclaren should order a switch, Daniel deserves to be ahead. It would just be more fun if Norris was allowed to attack him. He has the pace to make it a fight.

Though I think they should let Lando have a bit of a pop in the last couple of laps, they should both be safe from Bottas.

Annoyingly, I think it's absolutely right call that Mclaren tell them not to fight and kudos to Norris for not making it awkward for the team. Just 'unlucky' for Norris that the one weekend a win was on the table is a very rare weekend when he's been behind on the road given he qualified ahead and is only behind due to circumstances beyond his control.
