My parents have had to move their car off their driveway after the tarmac started melting and one of the cars' rear wheels was slowly sinking into it.

Scorchio again.
Got to stand out at noon (who decided that time on a day like today ffs!) and watch the lad play football. A cup game against one of the best teams in the area. They're likely to get a right doing sadly.
At least it's going to be nice, and *I* won't have to run about in the heat like the lads.
Hopefully get out on the bike later with luck.

80% humidity here today, which is insane. I nipped to Sainsbury’s earlier and the last time I experienced cool aircon to humidity like that was when I was in Thailand during monsoon season.

Still hot as heck here but I’m at the first primary school birthday party of the new school year so inside an inadequately lit sports hall with 40 under 6s and a pair of bouncy castles. If anything its a bit chilly in here.

Has anybody else spent 40+ years sticking doggedly to having a full duvet set in summer to realising by going abroad once that a simple top bed sheet enables much better sleep and being slightly embarrassed when bringing this esoteric knowledge home that it’s taken approaching half a century to realise and change? Me neither.
