I only vaguely remember the London opening mainly because of being home and also because of how many times it was repeated on TV. Everything else, nada.

I feel this opening ceremony is simultaneously shit in person, as you miss half of it, and shit on TV as you lose the spectacle of it all taking place around you. Lots of pre-recorded bits, which I assume means they realised that it wasn't going to be great on TV.
The sound quality is really abysmal too. It doesn't seem to be able to make it's mind up how it is going to be mixed.
Fair play to them trying to do something different, but can't see anyone repeating this style.
