I really hope that they are both called Winston. And that Harvey Keitel shows up at some point.

Thankfully I think Ridley is just producing so hopefully that'll have limited his stupid fucking ideas about the franchise.
Looks good, please don't let it be awful like those two other movies.
Shame we never got to hear the lovely sound of an M41A being fired as that's during the silent bit of the trailer, boooooooooooooo!

Looks great, but I definitely don't need to see another trailer - way too much shown.

Visually it looks absolutely spot on. The main trepidation I have is with what the actual story will be like. It could look fantastic and still be full of idiots doing stupid things for idiot reasons on a plot taped together by coincidence and space magic. So long as they don't try to be too complicated then it'll be fine. It doesn't need to be complicated or twisty. Group of people on a space station trying to stay alive because aliens. That's it. That's all I want.

That's why I mentioned Texas. I watched the trailers for Texas and thought this looked pretty decent and it was for the first 10-15 minutes, then descended into something that I don't think a student film maker would have drummed up.
Anyway I'm not wanting to shit on anyone's enjoyment, as I love the Alien franchise up until AvP, and even then it's somewhat enjoyable. I just would set expectations to very low.

It looks good but I was quite surprised how much Prometheus and Covenant deflated it. ‘Oh look, it’s those things that are just a science project of that fruity android’.
It’s absolutely destroyed their mystique.

I've just blocked out Prometheus and Covenant. As far as timelines go, they exist in some weird little shit dimension of their own.
As do both AvP films. Except I actually enjoy them more than Ridley's recent turds. Okay, maybe not Requiem, that has the most stupid Predfator outside of The Predator, but I digress.

A random but brilliant choice for a 4K restoration and cinema run for its 25th anniversary:

“In space no one can hear you alien” is an odd tagline.

The YouTube link for those who wish to see Paddington's marmalade sandwich, not a euphemism, in 4K.

Based on the book by: Andrew Michael Hurley, Starve Acre is an unsettling British folk horror set in rural Yorkshire in the 1970s. When their son starts acting strangely, a couple unwittingly allow dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening a long-dormant ancient evil rooted deep in the countryside.
