That being said. I still want to try it.

Anyone got this yet? It's on offer but a lot of the use reviews make out like it needs a lot of work.
Want a good boxing game but sadly FN3 isn't backwards compatible.

I'm waiting to see how the December update turns out for PS5. Think it's live on other platforms, but not checked out user feedback on it. The update apparently makes a lot of positive changes to gameplay and online experience.

The latest patch came out yesterday with a few changes to online and career mode, coupled with the deluxe edition being cheaper than the standard version on PSN currently I took the plunge.
Only played a couple of offline matches to get the feel of it, and initial feelings are it's a very tidy and realistic boxing game. Looking forward to starting career mode before getting into some online matches.

Finally got some hours into the career mode yesterday and have had a few fights now, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the boxing itself. This is not Fight Night, but I actually think as a technical boxing game it surpasses it. If you're looking for a slugfest then this is not the boxing game for you...but, if you want to have to slowly pick your opponent apart, change tactics round by round, and adapt to different boxing styles this is perfect. It's essentially a violent puzzle game.
I've been trying to improve my accuracy and blocking, as these are the two factors that are causing me to be down on the scorecards most of the time, but I'm managing to win via KO most times, it's this realism and commitment to recreating boxing in a faithful way that I really enjoy. I hate boxing games where windmilling sluggers win most of the time (I've not fought online yet, but I think they've managed to rebalance the game to stop people exploiting power punches and never-ending hooks), you have to manage your stamina in this game very carefully, and I appreciate that you will get rocked if you don't land your punches and waste your stamina.

Ha. Frog, I was a big fan of Fight Night, but I'm honestly really taken with Undisputed. There was a specific point last night when it just all clicked and I was totally immersed in the flow of the fight in a way I'd not experienced before (it might have been the HHC vape I'd had a toke on an hour before though)

Ended up getting it and have enjoyed what I've played so far.
Only issues would be some controller input. Couple times I've hit a button twice and my Fighter does a random 3rd punch not to mention some iffy collision detection now and then.
Other than that it's a solid boxing game.

I find the same using the sticks for punch inputs too, sometimes a job or straight comes in as a hook.
This game is very hard to master, I've slowly started to pick up rounds here and there and manage the scorecard better (a lot of early fights I'd be down on the cards and have to win by knockout) but I've started to win by decision too, so it's starting to click, as with real boxing you just have to have patience and manage your stamina properly.

Yeah i knocked it down to easy to get a feel of it. Then was doing alright against Rocky Marciano who then knocked me out cold in the 7th.
