LOOK AT IT. Obviously best not to get carried away given its an unknown developer, with no release date and it may well all be smoke and mirrors. But with that in mind I think we can all agree this is already the best game ever made.

I've longed for a decent boxing title since Fight Night. Needs a decent creator and career mode to really keep my interest though...fingers crossed.

To be fair it's increased in scope massively from when they first started showing it. The roster compared to 12 months ago is insane.

Sounds like there's a lot of work still needing to be done on this. But he's very positive about the boxing sim gameplay.

That looks pretty sweet, definitely reminds me of Fight Night with the way the impacts of haymakers and uppercuts cause screen shake. Of course it does need some work, looks a bit too robotic in motion and some object motion blur would really add to the movement of the boxers. It's a shame that boxing games just died, although I suppose the UFC games are the evolution of that formula but I could just never get on with them.

Still my favourite boxing game ever. Also a fucking cunt of a game that taught me some devs actually think about screwing over the player. In this case hitting the power button when losing in order to stay in the competition still registers as a loss when you restart. youtu.be/QWkOdpg5Ru0I think graphics have improved since then though. |

I think the collision detection is fine, it's the bits where their arms get momentarily tangled up where things get wonky. Dunno if there's really a way around it yet as it seems to be an issue on every sports game.

Looking really good.
Some great points in the comments about the stamina looking meaningful and aggression not being the best tactic (i.e. it's not a rush to get a first round knockout), which some of the Fight Nights were guilty of. Also the footwork looks very realistic, I'm glad they're taking their time with this, it looks so authentic.
I used to get so pissed off when opponents would come steaming in looking for a knockout with no regard to defense, seemed to be a legitimate tactic in FN4, yet in reality very few fighters can get away with that.
