2D metroidvania. I hadn't even heard of this and review embargo must've just passed because it's just been given a gajillion amazing scores. EG 5* PCG 90/100 RPS recommednsd etc. MetacriticSteam pageSounds like something NOT to read up on and an instabuy. Lovely.

Yeah I just read a review that kept it short and said go on without reading up on it.

Requires 40Mb of available space, so I might need to pass for now.

Have not heard of this at all tip today, heard it described as Metroid meets Outer Wilds which is a descriptor that sounds more than appealing.

On PS+ too, it does look very intriguing. New Hollow Knight?

A pixel art 2D metroidvania? Gosh, how unusual.

Good games are good games innit Could actually make the same point with like "Another realistic graphics modern day FPS? How Unusual", except my comment would be more that shit games are shit games

Yeah had never heard of it and just bought it based on the couple of reviews I read and seeing what the scores were elsewhere. Looks awesome. Looking forward to trying it later.

Looks like a silly kids game. Rather get some of that stellar blade on (pre-censored version of course).

2D metroidvania getting huge amounts of love? I haven't even read the reviews and I've bought it.

Bought it (almost) blind. Slogging through Elden Ring's fucking late game for the umpteenth time, I need a break if I don't want to go insane. This looks like it might be the perfect countermeasure.

Tempted for sure, even if the forced slow progression and constant backtracking of metroidvanias gets on my nerves lately.

Not really my sort of game but the good reviews have me interested and it’s on ps plus so I can give it a try and not feel guilty for not sticking with it.

Played for about an hour and half this evening and it is delightful so far, but backs it up with some real "aha!" moments particularly as you workout the many applications for the disc I am just sort of stumbling about the place without much clear direction though. Not sure if that is intentional and it is quite open to taking your own path or if there is supposed to be a proper order in doing things, but it has been cool just ambling about and coming across the various different puzzles.

Started this before planning to have an early night last night. 3hrs later I had to stop for the night.
Love the game so far. Prince of Persia was my game of the year so far, this one couple challenge that

Presuming I need to replace the disc with something to avoid that incredibly bloody creepy ghost cat.
Edit: ahhhh. Nice.
Also I like that dying puts you back to the phone but doesn’t undo things you’ve done/collected.

I’m playing on an OLED switch and it’s just perfect for it. Such a cool little game and surprisingly creepy.

Isn't this the game that is published by dunkey's company? The little pieces I seen in his uploads didn't look appealing (to me) but glad it's being received well, since his company's mission statement was the same as every other company's: make good games, blah blah.

This is a very dated reference but it weirdly reminds me of a game I had on the c64 and Amiga called Exile. The setting is different obviously but there are definite similarities there.

It totally reminds me of weird old games on the spectrum, except it's good.

Started it this evening! It's good! Reminds me of a lot of games: Rain World for atmosphere and animals, Braid for some of the puzzles, retro 2D games for the platforming feel.

I mainly like the fact that I was playing with headphones and it scared the living fuck out of me in the first ten minutes.
10/10. No notes. Would shit myself again.

Going well. I'm baffled by the backtracking complaints. Most of the areas are interconnected. No worse than anything like Hollow Knight etc.
I'm not sure it's zomg incredible game territory, but we'll see how it pans out. The world is definitely intriguing, if that somehow comes to the fore. 8/10 currently.
