£70 is a step up too far for anything mediocre

The other aspect is it's £70 for the normal version, with the incentives hidden behind the deluxe version so it's even more money. There was one point where buying Infinite Wealth deluxe and FF7 Rebirth came close to £160. For 2 games.

Playing this demo now. I have thoughts many thoughts. First one is this what has people losing their minds over in the bullshit culture war?! It has the tone of many a Japanese game from the 360 era where it comes across as absolute nonsense trying to be serious. Second, I laughed out loud as the woman you meet at the beginning looks like a bloody sex doll, the main character too but it just looks ridiculous in an embarrassing way. Onto combat and game feels it really looks and feels like your character isn't really grounded in the world at all, she's literally gliding on the ground, then button presses seems to come out a bit after the actual button press so it's already breaking the cardinal rule of a hack and slash game at 60fps.

It looks ok visually I guess like a late gen PS4 game there's some proper low res textures and I don't like it when games have foliage that you just pass through, but there's nothing here that would make me willingly spend 70 quid on this. It just really reminds me of all those Korean MMOs from a visual POV and I find it hilarious this is what the incels of the internet have put their flag on. I'm finding it really difficult to get past how ridiculously stupid the main character looks it's honestly like someone made a game based around the CGI women that would be printed on a GFX card back in the day.

No, I turned it off after as the demo left such a bad taste in my mouth. There's something there but it's covered in so much input delay and most of the budget being spent on the tits and ass of all the female characters in the game.

If you can bear to go back, I'd say the new content is worth a try - it's just a different boss fight with more skills unlocked, really.

They also give you some equippable items, including one that increases the speed of the basic light attack. I wish this faster attack was the default speed, with the option to make it quicker still with the aforementioned gear equipped.

I don't think that's going to make me get past the front loaded content the game is pushing towards me. I dunno I've played plenty of games of this genre where even the basic combat was great and the extra unlocks just expanded what was already great, DMC and MGS Revengance for example. I just didn't feel what was here was enough to make me stay.

Boss challenge was the best part about the game but that's because of the fully upgraded character. It just becomes a question of how long it takes to get to that point

I tried to watch a gameplay recording on YouTube and the streamer paused the game and looked amazed and agog because, to quote "they jiggle!"

Had to find a play through with no streamer. But c'mon, everyone's acting like cartoon tit physics have never been seen before.

Maybe I'm being racist, but I could understand if it was made by western devs, that would be ridiculous. But a Korean/Japanese game? Pretty standard stuff, really. I don't see anyone going nuts over Tifa in the FF7 remake. Butt I can't in good conscience play this, it's just a bit gross.
