I'm so excited to see Dynamite tomorrow, first time in New York, stacked roster and a sold out tennis Stadium with 18k fans.
Omega Danielson is the icing on the cake but I'm curious if we'll get a debut after they spunked their load at the last ppv. Maybe Rotunda...but I'm still not convinced they'll pick him up, especially if KO and Zayn are on the cards within the next 3 months.

Who better thaannn Kanyon?!!! I'm sitting here not looking all that surprised by what has been said about Flair. It seems like some sort of unwritten rule that Flair gets a pass because of who he is. If Hogan got rightfully canned for his racist remarks and not to mention all the other shit.. then Flair needs the same treatment.
Also this has nothing to do with cancel culture. The guy is a piece of shit outside of the ring. Again this goes back to the age old thing of never meet your heroes.

I did briefly meet Ric Flair once. Shook his hand. Had to admit I was a bit star struck.
I'm annoyed I left Piper, Bulldog and Barrett out of the list. I can't remember if Cody Rhodes picked up a world championship but if not he should be on there too.

There's an argument for Piper that he didn't really need a world title. His persona was more than enough to generate insane heat.

I’m always more amazed that there are good guys like Danielson in wrestling than I am to read any story of someone being trash.
And his biography must be the only WWE product to ever use the word minge

Yep Dibiase definitely belongs on the list. There's even an argument for Rotundo / IRS too.

Think I'm gonna be a hero and stay up for the first hour of dynamite.
I've always been a sucker for cool arenas and crowds so the combination of the typically lively aew audience, 20,000 of them, the NY crowd in general plus the venue having its first wrestling show has me pretty keen.

Fucking hell, Tatanka, IRS - someone call the mods this thread needs locking.
Luger is a good example of someone who never held the belt despite them doing a whole year long angle leading up to his title reign which never was.

Wasn't Owen Hart supposed to get HHHs push in 99 and a title run? Or is that just fan talk online?

Why would you decide to not have MJF cut a promo?

Luger not making it is entirely Vince’s fault for not pulling the trigger at Summerslam and having all his momentum vanish by Mania

That Danielson Omega match last night was incredible. Second loudest crowd/pop of the last ten years (behind CM Punk debut). AEW are really hitting it out the park, creating memorabilia wrestling moments that seem new and exciting after 15+ years of a company stuck in a groove with no competition or incentive to innovate.

WWE has had their moments - Hardys return, Rollins cash in - but last night did feel special.
I’m trusting they’ve got a plan since Danielson isn’t just a bigger star than Omega he’s more famous than the entire company. Have him run through the Elite on the road to an Omega title match?
Danielson Cole is very high on my wishlist

Tatanka is purely because he was one of my favourites when I was 9/10.
Adam Bomb too

Danilson vs Omega should have been the last match of they wanted a time limit finish. Blame it on the TV channel as everyone would have known the crowd would be annoyed.
Be interesting to see the overall ratings as they pretty much spunked a full load here that if they don't get close to or beat Raw it's going to be a disappointment.

Tatanka is purely because he was one of my favourites when I was 9/10. Adam Bomb too Tatanka was cool and still looked great when he came back at the Rumble years back. Jack the Snake but at the same time you could say that like Piper he didn't need the belt.

I think now they’ve debuted Punk and Danielson they’ve basically made their two biggest possible moves. Seeing Danielson wrestle is great but he was doing it on Smackdown five minutes ago and Omega isn’t really a household name as much as wrestling nerds love him. Its all going to be in the build for the next ppv now

Seeing a lot of similarities between this and the summer of Punk with the buzz disappearing pretty quickly.
A lot of comments on the clips AEW have put up from last night on twitter full of people complaining about him. He does need to move on from the WWE now and just focus on AEW as he's just saying the same thing he did 7 years ago

It's so nuts that Dynamite has moved from "can it beat NXT?" to basically drawing the same "key demo" as RAW.
As a wrestling fan for 35 years it still seems surreal that this could happen in such a sort space of time. 3 years ago it was totally inconceivable that any fed could even come close to competing with RAW. Let alone turn out such a high quality modern vision of American pro wrestling with excellent production values. Manages to feel fresh whilst appealing to my 90s nostalgia.
