Aye, aside from the lack of Sasha Banks showing up after AEW have been dropping hints about it and that cringey JAS section that robbed time from the main event, it was pretty great.

Try as I might, AEW continues to do nothing for me. I did love the main event though. Big fan of the Death Triangle. And Jungle Boy has improved A LOT since I last saw him.
Evil Shida walking in like an anime villain amused me though.

Why do wrestling companies often spoil returns from injury?
Some of the best moments in wrestling are when a wrestler returns from a long layoff out of the blue - see Adam Cole's return on Dynamite recently.
Rhodes returning at the Rumble at #30 would've been even bigger so I'm baffled they've announced it beforehand.
Grrr.

Yeah odd to confirm it. Think a lot of people expected him to return at the Rumble but they still could have kept it quiet.
Unless Dwayne really is coming back and they want him to be the only big unannounced return?
Hope they don't name pretty much all Rumble entrants before the show like they did last year. And use NXT women rather than waste spots on former wrestlers who only get about 30 seconds TV time.

I didn’t follow the story super closely but didn’t the Briscoes do a full 180 on the homophobia and were total allies the last few years
They might as well cancel all wrestling if they’re going zero tolerance on having a history of saying bad things because everyone whose ever been involved in professional wrestling is an absolute piece of shit

The AEW women's division feels like it's on the up, it's amazing what happens when they actually let their best wrestlers on tv. Jamie Hayter's matches are becoming must watches, that tag hardcore match was crazy and the Saraya heel turn is not awful.
