Right picks IMO to win both rumbles. Both good rumbles and much better than last years. Especially the women's that didn't rely on loads of former wrestlers and had 2 particular returns I'm very happy with.
Pitch black match was odd but they got through it quickly.
Liv vs Bianca seemed to be more about the post match than the actual match. I like Belair but she struggles to carry the match and it really shows how good Becky is because she's able to cover the fact Belair is still learning.
Just got Owens vs Reigns to watch.

Bloodline story is so hot right now which makes it even more baffling with the Rumble winner.

Also I'm guessing Kofi fucked up again? Cole was saying only 1 foot had hit the floor then he just vanished.

On the pitch black match I’m mostly just glad that since Triple H took over Eli Drake is being used properly again and not just wasted as a fashion manager. On his day he’s one of the best old school promos in the business.
I read somewhere that Howdy is Bo, that could be an interesting twist.
But yeah good night, I think they got everything right which is rare for such a big show

Yeah it's Bo.
Not confirmed if he's signed a long term contract or just back to do this stuff for a bit.
Also has HHH given up on Kross right now? Pretty poor showing in the Rumble.

Bloodline story is so hot right now which makes it even more baffling with the Rumble winner. Elimination Chamber is in Samis hometown. No way are not having him vs Roman at that event That ending was perfect.

Main issue is WWE dropping a random right into the middle of the Bloodline story. They've spent ages building this up and feels totally unearned.

I don’t know what he was doing before but never bought Kross in Impact and even less so in WWE. He’s always billed like some kind of monster and master of mindgames but never really delivers on either.

Joe/Allin have had some seriously great matches for the TNT Title - last nights may have been the best of the lot.
Joe's being doing the best work he's done since the mini feud with Lesnar in WWE - he's just so believable. Hope he stays injury free.
Nice to see Wardlow return too - they fumbled the ball with him a bit these last few months, hope he can get his momentum back as he's a potential star in the making.

Get Starks away from Jericho. Another talent being dragged down by him(also please stop this beat all these guys to get to me stipulations).
And yeah good to see Joe being able to have a run. The guy is great to watch and looks like he could kill just about anyone. Read he nearly retired after being released the 2nd time by WWE.

Yeah, the whole gauntlet thing is far too played out in AEW - really need some better angles, particularly for MJF.

The majority of WWWE is still a dumpster fire but the Bloodline might be the best storyline they've ever produced.
It will be a pretty decent high for Roman to retire on and they could easily make top tier singles competitors out of the Uso's.

That Montreal crowd is going to be insane during that main event.
I see Jey costing Sami which can then set up him and Owens vs the Usos for the tag titles at WM.
I see people on twitter are trying to turn fans on Cody to try and force WWE to put Sami in the WM main event.
They desperately need to separate the main titles but if Cody wins he's more likely to want to do both shows.

For me, it definitely should've been Sami vs Roman at WrestleMania and the perfect end to the sotryline - I very much doubt Sami will ever win the title due to the WWE/Saudi connection.
Cody does seems like a genuinely good guy but he's so boring in the ring and on the mic. His whole character has been stale for years now and he shouldn't be anywhere near the main event scene.

It's odd how over Cody is though I think doing the HiaC match probably won him over a lot of new fans.
They could always do a triple threat with 1 fall being for the Raw title and the other Smackdown.
But unlike WM16s match actually have the champ pinned with Sami pinning Roman.
But both him and Owens have said several times they really want to be tag champs together.

I don't think Cody is as over as be thinks he is and wouldn't like him to be the one who dethrones Roman.

He's definitely over in a big way. Merchandise sales show that and he always gets solid crowd reactions

One thing I've had to point out to people is that while Cody is over he hasn't yet had any interactions with Sami or The Bloodline so the live crowd has yet needed to choose who to cheer. The fact that they made a point on the RR preshow to make sure we all knew Sami would not be in the RR shows they at least we're aware enough to avoid another potential Batista scenario.
I don't dislike Cody, I don't like him either, I just find him bland as fuck. I hope the crowd doesn't turn on him, at least just for his involvement, but it seems to me that WWE are at the very least aware it's a possibility which is why they are doing the Sami/Roman at EC, it's just a nice bit of convenience it's in Canada.
As for Sami being champ and the whole Saudi thing, that wouldn't be an issue if they just split the titles. Cody could defend at the event and then one of their "special event" matches would easily cover Samis adsence.

He's definitely over in a big way. Merchandise sales show that and he always gets solid crowd reactions I just didn't think his pop was that big at the Rumble. It's hard to say if he always gets solid crowd reactions as he's had what, 5 or so matches since his return? I just think Cody without the "renegade indielander" element is slightly diminished and as shown in AEW, once his novelty wears off his not a great face (but would make an excellent heel). Never rated his in-ring but he does do killer promos. I just wish his climb to the top of the wwe mountain was a bit longer than 4 months out, number 30 in Rumble, straight to Mania main even against the Big Dawg.

That they trailed “Cody is number 30” for weeks in advance will have diluted that pop a lot.
I think he’s both less of a star than he thinks he is but also that he’s the right choice for Mania. Or he will be if they get the rest of the build right.
In terms of long term storytelling and emotionally Sami deserves a shot at Reigns but even less so than Bryan he doesn’t have the sort of look the Fed likes to market and Cody does now.
KO and Sami lifting the tag belts together should still be a moment though

Yeah they shouldn't have announced it.
Most seemed to guess Rumble was the likely return date when he got injured anyways but keep it hush and bring him out at 25 or something.
In regards to Sami, I don't think he was ever put in to beat Roman but simply cause the end of the Bloodline.
Him and Owens vs the Usos - Night 1 main event.
Cody vs Roman - night 2 main event.

NXT talent will be allowed to start doing select indie dates.
Pretty cool for them to get more experience and new fans.

The last time I remember a surprise Rumble entry getting a legit pop was for AJ Styles’ debut. And that was one of a series of Rumbles that ended horribly.
I mean Edge’s return might count but the camera fuck up screwed it for the home audience.

It was AJs that got screwed up on TV. Stayed on a confused looking Roman in the ring then WWE had to release an alternative (read not messed up) version and edited it for The Network.
