It's been great. Wouldn't have worked without Owens.
So Vince is just going to come out every week just to get a pop?
Also that opening segment showed one thing, most of the women on Raw can't cut a promo.

What does Booker T think about all this?

Why on earth are Judgement Day competing on Main Event? Why is Dou Drop winning the 24/7 title? On Main Event.
That belt really should just be redesigned into a Raw mid card womens title and make a different one for Smackdown.

They're just props really. I'd even argue in AEW that the belts don't really mean anything to me. Or maybe they just have had poor champions for a while.

Hangman won't be pleased I said that though, although more booking than anything. I can't fathom why you'd not book the world title in the main event or close every damn week?

But at least those exes belts gives the others something to compete for rather than just being used to make the 4 or 5 others look good. Not to mention at some point a lot of new female talent will come up from NXT and will need something and it sounds like the tag titles have just been quietly killed.

As cool as the Finn turning on Edge thing was in the moment, with the false promise of Finn finally having a stable then having them miss Raw for Main Event is hilarious when you take into account that kayfabe they turned on Edge because they thought they outgrew him and they'd reached their ceiling under him. Little did they know getting attached to Finn would send them straight to the basement.

I don’t think they’ve had a good one since Jericho. They’ve had good wrestlers and big stars (and Page) hold it but I want a champ who makes the belt feel like a big deal and I didn’t get that from the others. I’ve never bought Moxley as a singles champ because a “I don’t give a shit’ character does elevate the belt, Omega was busy doing other stuff, Page was never a big enough star or booked as truly main event and Punk didn’t last a night. With Jericho the whole Le Champione thing was built around how important the title was and the belt was elevated by his star power and the importance he placed on being the champion. Its the kind of thing thats made Reign’s finally feel like a champ since turning heel and what made Cena’s US Title run feel so big. The NXT champs have been pretty consistent in valuing and therefore elevating the title too over the years.

Is there going to be anyone worthwhile left to wrestle that show? It feels like someone is getting pulled every other day for one reason or another

If he's suffered another concussion that would explain why they are keeping so quiet about it due to he's history.
Unless it's going to be a swerve and setting up a match.

Okada showing up - fantastic.
Okada showing up in jeans and a white t-shirt to no fanfare - what the hell?
I get Tony must think the diehards will already know Okada and be ordering the PPV (which is probably true, I certainly am) but I still want them to treat him as a big deal and give him some majesty; where's the theatrics? It's pro wrestling!
Great stuff from Christian though.

Did Athena and Ronda teach each other how to do promos?
So I'm guessing Cesaro will take Bryan's place?

It was a little below the belt but sometimes that sort of thing can fire up the feud. I'm interested to see whether Lucha sides with Christian, but I think he'll help Jungle Boy win. They both needed a kick up the arse after that poor title run. Some great matches but zero personality.

Only doubt is he's supposed asking price. Would also add to MJFs alleged issues.
Was even a couple reports a couple weeks back saying he had quietly resigned with WWE.

AEW's ratings are starting to falter, all these injuries to key wrestlers has really messed things up, I bet TK is hoping Christian can help carry AEW on his back in to All Out. I'd say he should be offering Sasha Banks all the money to sign for AEW but unless he's willing to give the women's division more time to build interesting feuds that probably won't help.

If anything she's probably going to focus on Hollywood if or when she's actually released.
Also funny how the dirtsheets apparently know everything that's happening with her and so on but no one knew the CEO was being investigated.

And to add to everyone dropping like flies.

Vince coming out and doing all that "I'm still here y'all" makes it seem as if he's still in charge and Steph is CEO in title only... but I wonder if one of her terms in publicly accepting the role was bring Hunter back full time. At least on the NXT side, if not Raw or Smackdown.

You know not to be tribal or a fan of schadenfreude but kind of ironic that this happens after Tony does that whole "oh WWE thinks they signed a deal with NJPW? PSYCHE!" promo.
Looking forward to Seth vs Naito

Not Ishii He's so awesome, that was the match I was most looking forward to I haven't paid for the PPV and don't think I will, there's barely any 'dream' matches on the card with all the injuries and poor booking.
