AEW seemed to have waay too many wrestlers. Yet they seem to debut about 5 new/old wrestlers every week?

It's the only thing Tony seems to like doing. So many appear then disappear or get dumped on Dark.

Slap nuts back, fucking hell!
MJF stuff a work? Seems pretty shitty to bury your mate/co-worker over money right before a pretty big match.

Yeah not sure about the MJF stuff. I'm leaning towards it being a work. Joe no showed as well but that was because AEW forgot to tell him they had booked him for it.

It's a work or he's had a medical/family emergency and they're not publishing details for obvious reasons.

That or the contract dispute.
Maybe him, Sasha and Naomi started a little group chat.

On a more pleasant note the Las Vegas crowd has been fantastic for these run of AEW shows, it really helps elevate the matches. Hopefully they can stay loud for 6 hours on the PPV

If I remember right they struggled last time which is no surprise.
4hrs is just right for me in terms of big events.
Got to say I love Gunthers new entrance. Kaiser is killing it.

Looking like he is off after last night especially with the finish. Guess he'll enjoy chasing the 24/7 title.

Really looking forward to watching the PPV later - AEW have a fantastic record with PPVs so I'm expecting some great matches!
MJF situation is a bit shit but it's hard to tell with all the lines blurred at the moment. If it's a shoot then he's a bit of a dickhead with how he's carried himself; if it's a work I'm not really sure who's meant to be getting worked (or what the benefit is to AEW/MJF).

He isn't the first, and isn't the last. Someone has got into his head, and lets not forget he's only 26. At least he showed up for his match unlike STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN.

Don't think anyone has got to him. He's made it perfectly clear he isn't happy with all the WWE guys Tony is bringing in now or that they are on much bigger contracts.
Thought it was a work at first but now it does nothing for anyone so something's obviously happened between him and Tony. Seems to have started when he did that interview with Helwani.

Well then it's no different to WWE where Goldberg, Lesnar come in for x nights on stupid money. I think someone has got to his head, as he's 26 and lacking maturity if he thinks he should be on more money than say CM Punk.

Wants the same, as did Cody but Tony said he couldn't afford it.
Then signed several more talent that he will hardly use after 3 weeks.
Does he deserve it? He clearly feels he has done enough and even started tweeting how segments with him get the most viewers now days on Dynamite. Sounds like both are handling it poorly. Same with Sasha and Naomi situation.

I love the guy and is probably the best heel in the business right now, but cutting promos and saying I'm leaving for WWE in X years isn't really entertaining. It reminds me of when I used to watch WCW and Russo has told him to go out there and say it.
Tony is a businessman, as is Vince. No wrestler should ever hold up a company and demand more money. I can only assume him being 26 that he lacks some maturity as to conduct himself in business, rather than what the dirt sheets have come up with a narrative that the fans will then believe..
Also you think Vince will want to hire a guy who is conducting himself so poorly like this?

Vinny isn't that hot on talent pissing around and MJF has likely weakened his position in terms of getting big contract from WWE.

You could imagine him being invited to Vince's house, then MJF makes a joke about Steph's boob job and gets kicked out the door.

I just can't see him in WWE. He gets pretty much creative freedom in AEW and would never get that in WWE. You can just hear Vinny feeding him his shitty lines.

They’d try and turn him into Miz then decide they already have a Miz and drop him from tv for the rest of his contract

Speaking of Miz Jrs, nobody irritates me more than Austin Theory. He has the douchiest high school jock face, too.

So did anyone else manage to watch through Double or Nothing yet?
After 3 PPV's in a row filled with great matches this was a bit of a bloated disappointment, really poor first half but the last 4 matches, Darby Allin match, the HoB/Death triangle match and the Hookhausen match were all pretty good. They could have easily trimmed a few matches and made it a better show. The crowd fell asleep in the middle and they were dead for that poorly booked mess of a mixed trios match, which is a shame as the Women's world title match deserved a hot crowd and they were only woken up again with the brilliantly stupid anarchy in the arena match.
CM Punk looked off pace and botched a couple of moves in the main event that spoiled that match a bit, unless it was all part of storytelling that went over my head.
The Young Bucks v Hardy Boyz match was really strange viewing, Jeff looked like he was wrestling with a broken back and the Bucks did a fantastic job of carrying the Hardyz throughout.

It was a solid 7/10 PPV I thought, just too long and missing that extra bit of quality their other PPVs have had (they've set a really high bar unfortunately). Needed more singles matches too instead of trying to cram everyone onto the PPV.
HOB/Death Triangle, MJF/Wardlow, 3-Way Tag and Punk/Page I thought were all really good. Anarchy in the Arena was good for that match type but I'm not a huge fan of it. Punk's always been a botcher, he's never been that smooth in the ring. Great at telling a story though.
Looking forward to some new programs, especially for Punk, Page and Wardlow.

It was the first PPV that showed how bloated the roster is in AEW. It had too many matches and people involved.
TK has a pretty big week with his meeting with Warner especially with their new owners trimming the fat on all aspects of TV etc.

Jeff's boot came undone, which was pretty obvious, so that's why he was a bit off in some of the match. Unsure as to why he didn't do an audible sooner, and get it sorted. Pretty much agree with rhaegyr. Was pretty solid, with some missteps here and there. And yeah I agree they crammed way too much into the PPV due to the bloated roster. In some ways it makes me long for NXT from 4/5 years ago. AEW is good but it ain't as good as those Takeovers.

Does feel like Jeff's style is catching up with him now though. And Matt hasn't looked right since that concussion. Get the feeling both will have called it a day before 2024.

They’ve both been at it for 30 years if you include their backyard and jobber days and there can’t be many who just go out to fuck their bodies like Jeff has. And thats before whatever the drugs and booze will have done to their insides. I don’t think anyone would be upset if they took a deserved rest and hung it up before it starts getting sad.

Yep. Matt said Vince and HHH pitched him a producer role and said he could also be on NXT as the leader of a group so he didn't have to risk any further health issues but declined as he feels he can still give it 100%
Don't think Darby will have a long career if he does more suicide dives like he did Sunday.
Windham is teasing a return to wrestling soon.
