Yeah no idea. They did originally advertise a 6 pack challenge match to determine the No.1 contender.
But others are claiming the plan was to have them feud with Doudrop and Nikki with them refusing to work with them.
Could be a while till anyone finds out but twitter was going on about Sasha unfollowing all but 6 people the other day and no this.

Yeah, it could be either or. Use of their work names, and the fact that it was talked about multiple times has me leaning work.
But the statement mentioned Johnny Ace, and he's very old school in his thinking, and I could see him going in a direction Sasha and Naomi didn't approve of.

There's conflicting stories. That particular story implies Nikki ASH and Dewdrop, but there's a different story about Naomi being booked to win the 6-pack challenge and competing for the title, and another that the team was being split up. The more accepted story is that Sasha and Naomi have been trying to make the women's tag titles mean something, and creative is devaluing them and trying to push both ladies to be singles competitors again.
The "scared of working with" story seems the least likely, most WWE spin take on the situation.

I mean I take MJF with a pinch of salt, because that's his character. I doubt he has that much sway backstage, unlike Hogan in WCW. If they didn't want him to say 2024 etc, they would tell him not to.. surely?

Yeah he'd have to tone down his persona by about 80%. To me I think he's having fun with it all, and I'm happy to be proved wrong one day.
And I do agree that certain originals are probably pissed off that more experienced guys are coming in with higher wages. The difference between WCW and AEW, is that I don't see the likes of CM Punk shooting down working a night, like Hogan/Nash etc.

If the reports are true that he wants more money but not a contract extension then you can see why Tony would be against that.

I don't think it's a work, but even so 2024 is still two years off, and the situation there can change within that time.
But yeah, a startup promotion trying to rival WWE (as opposed to an independent one) is always going to run into that WCW/Jarrett-era TNA backstage struggle, especially as they continue to hire ex-WWE wrestlers.

This is one reason why WWE are pushing Cody so much. They know it could lead to certain wrestlers jumping over and him and MJF are really good friends.
Sasha is now taken over from Flair with dirtsheets saying she's unpopular backstage and has lots of heat. Still not sure if this is all a work.

Bryan had a freak accident when his leg got trapped between the ring and the Rampage ramp.
Looks like he was stuck for a good amount of time and was limping pretty badly when they got him out.
Hopefully suffered nothing but a dead leg.
(Unless this is also a work...)

WWE getting some heat on those Clash at the Castle ticket prices, and rightly so! absolutely way out of touch with what is going on in the UK/World. You could have a holiday with those ticket prices.
