I just want a good arcadey wrestling game you bastards, how hard can it be?! AEW were almost headed in the right direction but then Fight Forever felt pretty much half finished. Finally watching Mr Mcmahon, its a real sign of how far south things are going to go that Snuka murdering his girlfriend is a two minute aside. |

I don’t think it would be necessarily good but its a surprise they haven’t thrown something like a cart racer out there ever before
Edit: man, I’d forgotten what a fuck on Showcase mode is. I just want to unlock Bret, Austin, Angle and Eddie, don’t make me redo the same Rick Rude match over again because my opponent countered the finisher I was told to do three times. And why are the Corey Graves videos between the matches unskippable?! What year is this?!

Just started watching Bad Blood. 17 minutes before the first match starts. That was a proper HiaC match and a great way to end what's really the feud of the year for me. But.. we all saw that monitor under the ring. |

I know Crown Jewel is basically non-canon but they can’t be thinking anyone wants Gunther vs Goldberg, surely?
Watching the Vince doc and seeing how they talk about the different eras, seeing a match like that Hell in a Cell and the presentation in general, makes me think HHH is giving us something like a return of Ruthless Aggression.

Know he keeps crying saying they owe him a retirement match. They better not be planning on him showing up on Monday...

Goldberg should have been done after the Lesnar matches. Survivor Series gave him an epic moment and Mania finally corrected the farce of WM20.
That’s all he needed to do. No need for the title win or any other matches.

I think I'm in the minority where I've hated Drews booking witth Punk. He's been made to look like a chump against a part-timer which is odd when Drew has been the best thing in WWE for the last 12 months. I am assuming he's due some time off for the rest of this year.

He's been made to look like a chump against a part-timer which is odd when Drew has been the best thing in WWE for the last 12 months. I am assuming he's due some time off for the rest of this year. Is he a part timer though? Since coming back from the injury he hasn't missed many shows. Punk was always going to win the feud but it's definitely time to move Drew on. No idea who he feuds with next though? |

On reflection for Bad Blood, I feel that there were a few OK matches, some duds and the HITC being the highlight.
There's too much emphasis on run ins, which was such a staple of the attitude era. There is a sort of lawlessness about WWE, with so many factions and beat downs most weeks. They really need to tone that down a bit. I get the booking of.. you never know what's going to happen, is great fun and one example with Braun/Reed is where that has paid off well. But, then why not book Braun and Reed on the PPV? All this Judgement Day stuff needs to go in the bin.

I just find Liv and Rhea don't work well against each other.
Mainly because Liv is still incredibly mid(did pull off a couple nice moves though) and I zoned out during the match until Dom was hanging by the cage.
Funny how that went off flawlessly but Raquel couldn't even time her run in right.

I think giving Liv an enforcer seems a great way to address the size and skill gap she has with Rhea but I’m not sure how much more mileage there is in the feud. One more blow off PPV match?
Or do you have Rhea swap to Raquel now and stop pursuing Liz?
I suppose Rhea is such a once in a generation female wrestler most opponents will be mismatched against her

Its astonishing that this video only covers about two months worth of storyline, there are so many moving parts. The formation of DX, Bret v Shawn, Bret v Taker, DX v Taker, Paul Bearer & Kane, Mankind, and the Hart Foundation.
Everyone talks about the Attitude Era and how WCW was on top for 83 weeks and all that but this last year of the New Generation had WWF really firing some hard stuff out there.

Oh and I was wrong about WWE 2K24 - you don’t *need* to play through the whole of Showcase mode to unlock Angle, Austin etc. Its just another payment of £10ish and unlike the Accelerator that unlocks everyone in the grind store, its not part of the £30 Season Pass.
Basically even if you got it on PS+ it’d be £40 to play as every wrestler the day you download it.
Since I’m not going to do that I’ve pulled all the AI sliders to 0 in the balance options so I can at least cheese my way through Showcase and get myself the more ‘modern’ WM20 Eddie.
